I was with my girlfriend for 8 months, we split up just over a week ago becuase we both decided that the relationship wasnt as good as it used to be and both of use werent that happy anymore!
I used to see her nearly everyday in college and the weekends, but now she has gone away for work, im not going to see her for about 6weeks.
I have had alot of time to think the last week, and i would like to try and get back with her after these 6weeks. I know i will be very lucky if i do.
Ive only txted her once since we have broken up, im planning on sending her a little somthing for easter with a note saying hope everyfin is goin all rite at work etc....nothing about us. Do you think this will go down well?
Most of the advice ive been given is to make her see that i am really happy and getting on with my life. But how do i show this when im not going to see her?

She wasn't my favorite person in the world. She caused many family problems and I honestly don't have many good memories of her. Of course I feel bad for my husband as he will miss her very much. It was uncomfortable when everyone else was crying and offering sympathy to me and I didn't feel much grief.

My ex-girlfriend and I are negotiating getting back together but she insists on maintaining friendships with 3 old flames 2 of whom regret not marrying her or still want to (I saw a flirty email between one of them and her which she insists was just joking). She swears the relationsihps are innocents and that she has few friends / family in this country and tells me that it is my own insecurity.......that I am putting too many restrictions on her. She has been pursuing getting back together with me so it's all very confusing and I have been isisting that if she hopes to be with me she better stop communication. Do you think it's possible and I am being too harsh? What would you do if it was your partner?

ok i have some trouble with my family:

Steven[older brother]-he's tried 2 kill me twice i'm serious!!!!
he's an a$$whole actually i think he's doing drugs but i don't know if thats a fact though.he's mentally mest up thats what i say!!!

Mark[little brother] -he's a cry baby and he won't learn how 2 fight he's girly he's more of a wimp than me and he's a year younger than me

dad-he gets drunk too much and hasn't been himself since mom divorced him but it was a mutual decision and won't quit
chasing after woman and blaming them for what mom did and
he already has a great girlfriend living with us yet he wants more and doesn't care about anyones feelings

mom- she's been nicer and more outgoing since she divorced dad actually i think she's better off without him ecspecailly since she's been living with Keith and Tommy!!![keith is the dad,tommy his son]

so got any suggetions on how to get along with my family?

He has a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back. That is how people describe him. He's been hurt in past relationships and wants to develope a friendship before a relationship. We've been "growing" a friendship over the past 3 months, He makes all the advances - I respond to show him I am interested, too. Things were going very well between us. Then all of a sudden he completely backed off and has been doing things that are uncharacteristic of him. The last time I spoke with him he said that he's just been "really busy" - that's all it was. I've been giving him space because I think he is afraid of the feelings he's been having and will be back when he resolves these issues. I haven't been calling him because I don't want to appear needy or be a pest. Would you wait for him to come around, confront him about his behavior or ask him out? Walking away isn't an option.

I have been dating this wonderfully awesome guy for a while now and a couple nights ago he told me he thinks he is falling in love with me, I said I feel the same way about him too. I love him in my heart but have not said "I love you" to him yet.

I am really scared to open myself up to him in that way, as much as I want to. I have had some bad experiences with men in the past and as we all know history is doomed to repeat itself.

How do I get over feeling like this? Being so scared to love and let myself be loved. He is everything I could have ever asked for in a man and I want to be able to move forward and build a life with him. Any advice is appreciated. :)

i love a grl frm our class ( 9th class ) who of the same age as mine (14). we have been friends from 8 years, and my close frndship has turned into love for her.
i cant imagine myself widout her at all...

I am a college freshman, and I have a major crush on this classmate. I think she is a total package. She has the prettiest eyes i've ever seen, she is very intelligent, and she is pretty nice. I never felt attracted to a girl this strongly, but I sense that she is not that into me. I think she somehow knows that I like her. Oh well. Lately I have been trying quite hard to get over her. I try to keep myself busy, but I have to admit that I keep thinking of her. It is so unfortunate. I don't think I am an undatable guy. I am not sure if I'm handsome, but I am ripped (not bragging or being narcisstic but it's true). I am 5'11 and weigh 180, so appearancewise I think I'm alright. I work hard and treat ladies nicely. I am not that great of a talker, so I guess that is my most critical weakness. Oh well. Some friends of mine tell me that I should be persistent to win her heart, but I don't see that coming anytime soon. Cant find someone else as of now. I need some useful advice. Thanks.

16 years ago my father was charged and jailed with child molesting. He molested my cousin when she was just 8 years old. My father went to prison for 6 years. Our families were torn to pieces after what happened. Life became a living hell for all of us. When my father got out of prison my mother took him back. They've been living together for about six years now (unromantically..they live together for financial reasons) and other family members are angry over it. I have mixed feelings about it...afterall, the man is my dad. I typed a blog on Myspace about how I felt. My cousin(the one he molested) read the blog and got offended. Now our family is having a war with each other. I've tried everything I could possibly do to make things right, but I can't change the past or what my father did. How do I deal with something like this?
