OK - with 50 pounds to spend (about $100 US) you have plenty to make her feel special.

1st pick a beautiful card that helps you express your love for mom.

2nd plan time together, surpise her with a date with you. Cook dinner for her at home, and then go out for dessert and and some sort of entertainment. I suggest a movie of her choice (do not wince when she picks a "girly" movie)

Make sure to have a simple bouquet on the dinner table and candles lit.

The most important part of this gift is time with you and more importantly great conversation.

If she is turning 45 you are probably old enough by now to pay attention to her during conversation.... another words, think back, did she mention anything she would like or do?

You did not provide enough info to help you with a gift idea...
Please add some info.

1) your age
2) your financial abilities (the budget you want to set)
3) do you still live at home or on your own

This will help me and others help you

Get her a card with an IOU. Saying your present is on it's way.
I received a gift a few weeks ago and it beats all gifts I've EVER received. I love Roses, but they die, which is kind of a waste of money. There are these roses on the internet that you can get: They are real, covered in a thin layer of lacquer, trimmed in 24 kt gold. A real rose that NEVER dies. It's beautiful and you can get any color you want. I don't have the web address, but this information should be useful looking it up:

The Rose Lady
(800) 767-3155
Los Alamitos, CA

If that doesn't sound like something she would like, I as a mother know that the best present of all is quality time with my kids. Take her out on a little date, her favorite restaurant, to a movie (might I suggest Wild Hogs) Every woman loves John Travolta. Good luck.

Be very coy and try and find out what it is that she always wanted and get it for her. You could also go with whatever you know your mom likes. For example it is spring going on to summer right? If she loves gardening or flower get her something from that side of the store. If she likes cooking go there. Or you can simple get her gift cards of her favourite stores or restaurants .
Hope you find what you are looking for, i know it can be areal challenge at times. But hey you are her baby I'm sure she will love what ever it is you give her. It is the thought that counts don't forget that.
Hope your mom as a wonderful birthday tomorrow.

I've 2 suggestions. Get up really early tomorrow and clean the house and then bring her breakfast in bed. Or you could go out tonight with a pair of scissors and cut her a big bouquet of flowers. Hope this is helpful. Good luck

I would defiantly say money or a gift card to her favorite clothes/shoes/whatever she buys the most of store. Then get her some flowers with a really sweet card. Mom's love this, because there is something special u picked out and she can go shopping herself for what she likes! =)

Well, for mothers day this past year my mom loves cheesecake and since I'm not all that great at cooking I took her out to the bakery and let her choose out the kind she wanted and then went to the floral store and let her choose out her own flowers. NOt only do you get to give her the gifts you also get time to bond with your mom. I don't know what your mom likes, but I'm sure you could fit this to her likes. Just spend time with her at least. That's what's most important.

Why don't you give your mom the day off.. breakfast in bed.. a nice bunch of flowers.. and perhaps make her a nice meal later..

I think you'll find though that it's the love you show your mom that she will appreciate more than the money you spend on her..

Pamper her and let her put her feet up.. give her a big hug.. and tell her how much you love her..

Ohh! and don't forget the card.

Being loved is priceless.. and always appreciated..

Write her a very magnificent message about your concepts consisting of her and her solid traits. Thank her for all she does. tell her youd opt for to take her to lunch or some thing once you next see her. and then on that day you grants her only plant existence. moms dont opt for an outstanding form of stuff-only time with you. you're a superior son and reading not ordinary is what she could opt for you to do

I would book an appointment for her to get her nails done - Aprox £20 and then take her out for a meal even if its just to pizza express or something. She will appreciate the gesture more than you will ever know!
