I'm 19 years old, so is my boyfriend. I haven't dated very much, so I haven't brought many guys home for my parents to meet. My mom is very paranoid about me being alone with him, and doesn't trust me at all. What can I do to persuade her? I think I'm old enough and responsible enough to make my own decisions.

with fulltime school and work. He seems to think that studying together or just eating dinner is good enough for "quality time."
His sister came and visited this weekend and he spent 3 whole days with her, doing fun things and taking her to nice restuarants/shopping etc. (even resturants which over the year has been "our" place)
Maybe i'm being a bit irrational, because he only sees her for a week twice a year, but he rarely (maybe once a month) spends a whole day or even half a day doing "fun" things with me. Its always just sitting at home, eating, studying whatever. He gets mad at me when I suggest that he is too busy and that i feel neglected. He thinks I am being needy but I think I deserve to be able to spend more time with him doing things other than working and eating. The first 2 or 3 months we dated it was so much fun, lots of things like what he is doing now with his sister. I am rather jealous of her for his attention. Am I being unreasonable? What should i do?

I have asked this guestion before, but felt it needed to have more details. I have a friend that has a 17 year old daughter and a 12 and 8 year old. The kids live with thier mom and she is a working mom. Since the oldest has been 14 she is required to care for the younger ones after school for abou 2-3 hours and start if not finish the dinner. She is paid a nominal amount. Yes she has been doing this for three years, but this is a single mom and for now the sole supporter of the family. I think that is somewhat normal for the days we live in now. Many parents have to rely on the older ones. My friend thinks his daughter is being taken advantage of and that she is the real parent. I would like to hear what others think. Before making comments on his ability to help or pay, I will say he is rather ill and in no shape for either.

How do i regain my parents trust they took my cell away bcuz i ran the bill WAY up and now they wont give it back! i dont want to be to obvious by saying when am i gonna get my phone back bcuz i know my parents and they dont like it when i do that. they always wont reasons why i should have things!! and i really want it back! wat should i do??

I've been missing a girl for 11 months. I hadn't been bugging her since she didn't want to talk to me anymore. We said hi occasionally, I thought things would be cool between us. I tried to talk to her. I said Hey how are you? She said nothing. I tried to talk about how she was helping with something (she was inactive at the moment). Still nothing. I have neighbours who were born in UK but their families are from China and Malaysia....I'm just curious..is there any other asian country call their brothers and sisters not by their name...for example...my neighbour from China call his older brother as "Tai Ke" or something similiar...and neighbour from Malaysia call their older sister as "Khaka"....why can't they just call them by their name like we do....Is there any other country have a similiar culture in calling their siblings.
