There are a lot of great things that come with being in a pool, and not in a sexual manner. Play a game, swim around and wear yourself out. I'm assuming you will both get played out and will then be looking for a little conversation. I must say, i've never hugged in a pool though, it kind of seems like the wrong place. Coming from a guys perspective... holding hands with you're partner and just talking, would be all the romance i would need. Face to face would be more romantic and a little sappy conversation would be perfect. Kiss him, but keep it short... I dont find sloppy make-out sessions romatic at all, unless you're looking for quite a bit more then romance in a pool... ;) If you can indulge in a flirty lovey-dovey conversation or even a interesting conversation of that matter... then i think you got it made.

AWW! Hugging him sounds romantic enough :) LOL but other things you can do, he can swim while you hold him around the neck with your arms, his head above water of course lol. You can makeout but im sure you already knew that! One thing my boyfriend liked was when i swam, caught him by surprise and bit him underwater. LOL! Well, he thought it was cute :)
Hope i have helped!
