Family & Relationships - 14 March 2007

I am a 29 year old Asian woman who has come to UK to pursue her Doctorate. I grew up with little physical warmth from my family and now in UK I have neither friends nor family (Also because PhD is a lonely process).
I am told I am very pretty with large eyes and am intelligent. But most of the times I feel like the smallest person in the room.
I have tried joining the Gym and try and socialize (owing to my profession that is limited) but have no one close . I can't remember the last time I received a hug or a touch of another human being.
I am left with this constant, all consuming ache in my heart. I think nothing can be more painful than being completely alone in a world full of people.
Any advice is much appreciated.

Theres this guy in my school who wont leave me alone. He STARES at me every second he sees me and if someone's blocking his way he like moves so he can see me. It was kind of funny in the beginning but now its getting just creepy. I used to onloy see him once during the day in the hallwy and now i see him after almost every class and he now goes where i go to eat lunch - the entire time whistling and making noises so i will look over at him. i dont really know what to do. i kind of feel like if i say something itll just make it worse and he'll do it even more. helpppp?

I have a friend that moved away 6 years ago and we have been keeping in contact via e mail and calling each other and the time to time visits. Lately when he comes to visit I want to grab him, hold him close and never let him go.. and other things of course but I am not sure if he wants the same thing I do, he tells me he loves me all the time and I tell him I love him too but it seems to be so much more then just words... what should I do?

I am going to the prom with a senior. I'm a guy if you didn't notice that. And I'd just like some advice. What should I do about dancing? What do I do when I'm dancing with her (and when I'm not), but most importantly, what should I do in the manner of tuxedo renting?

Any and all advice is greatly apprciated. My main concern is getting a tuxedo on time becuase I only have until May 4th!

My ex and I broke up after 8 months and continued having sex for 2 months and talking on the phone. I cried all the time so I changed the password for his voicemail so that i could check it. he got pissed, changed his number and didn't contact me during christmas or new years. We went a month without contacting each other. During this time I would cry constantly. I got his new number and everything was eating me up so i called. then we started being in contact again. He has a girlfriend of about 3 months now. And i have a boyfriend. He called me randomly on valentines day to say happy v-day. we talk frequently on the phone for long periods of time now,We read sappy poems about each other to each other, But he constantly brings up how much he's starting to love his girlfriend. i feel that it's kinda fake...a part of me thinks that he just wants to be friends but the way our conversations go and the things we say to each other it's like something is still there...what do you think?

This girl used to really like me shed stare at me her eyes would sparkle she would talk about her personal life with me. It was just all going so well. However she has started to not ask a question back when I ask her something and she is a little less nice to me. Now she is kinda flirtin to the other guy in my class with her. So i really like this guy and i found out that he likes me two and i also found out that he likes this other girl. So anyways one day he tells his friend to talk to me about what he was going to do and his friends like " if he went with the other girl and broke up with her would you still go out with him?" My husband spends 90% of his time with his father. When I leave to go to work he goes to Daddys and does not come home until after I get off work.He never has dinner waiting on me or helps me out around the house but if his Daddy asks for his help he jumps right up and goes.I feel like I do not matter to him anywhere as much as his dad does.
