Do you think trying to like things that a girl you ;like going too far for example likeing the music she likes. I think she really special.

It's a good thing to become familiar with all types of music, and this girl has given you the opportunity to do so with a new one (for you). Just don't go overboard, and attempt to like everything she likes--you need to be yourself. You should also introduce her to some of the things that you like. :)

Theres got to be some differences, keep liking you music but check out her music. Continue liking your stuff, but try out hers. If you like it then you like more of a verity to your self. Remember the reason people like each other is because they like how they act and don't expect that much change. Too much change and they wont like you anymore.

that is what her friends are for. not her boyfriend. you should not pretend. how will you stop liking those things so much if you end up together for a while.? in a true relationship you accept your differences and it's OK to have them. the important thing is to accept the things that she likes by not downing them.

Always when I am in a relationship I want to relate to the guy that I am with. A boyfriend always brings out my interest. My ex boyfriend George is very into fantasy and anime and science/science fiction. I always was too and am but it was brought out more when I was with him, like re-awakened. I always ask the guy I am dating what his interest are and then I am opened to share his interest but I wouldn't delibertly pretend to like something I didn't to please who I was with and neither should you. Saying that it's very important if she's special to you for her to keep her own interest. Even if you don't like them you can go to the mall and talk to her and let her shop with you every once in a while. Like my one ex Josh, he is all into "hip hop" and rap and stuff(like old school,not main stream) and so he wants me to listen to his music and it really bothers me(I am still friends with him). ya know and he's hardly opened to listen to the music I like. and he'll take me to break dancing events which are fun but then he wants me to dance so I feel like at times he's trying to make me more of who he wants me to be and less of myself. like he always wants me to dance and like not the way that I dance and I feel self concious and bad about myself. In fact one time with the whole music thing, he told me we shouldn't be friends if we can't find music we both like. and there is music we both like but I guess he doesn't listen to it with me as much. but we do like the same movies like brave heart and some anime as well. Basically you have to compramise without changing who you are. Don't pretend to have interest that you don't. At one point if you continue to do this you'll find out that you've lost too much of yourself to be in a relationship with her because you want to be with her. It happens to people. I'm sure this is the begining of a relationship so just keep that in mind. Stick to who you are but let her be herself too and try and see if you like some stuff she does. Like list your interest. You know you don't really like the music she listens to but find another outlet, maybe you two will like the same movies or something else. and within music you should tell her who you like and have her listen to it and then she could possibly like that too and that solves it without you guys changing yourselves for each other.
