Okay, here's the story:
I met a guy about three years ago, and about that time I developed feelings for him. He is a few months over three years older than me. We do, in fact, have quite a few things in common, and I have always considered myself mature for my age (I'm turning sixteen in about two months), and I get along with him great.
Whether this is insecurity, or just plain fact, I'm quite sure I have no chance with him. This doesn't stop me from being his friend or trying to get him to like me by flirting and hanging around with him. He's a great guy, and I feel I'm lucky even having him as a friend at this point.
However, I'm curious if whether or not the age difference is too much, or just fine. My parents trust me, as I have always made pretty good decisions, and when I haven't, my parents know I've learned from them. They trust me, and they love me. They know I wouldn't make stupid decisions.
So is this 3 year age difference too much? Could a relationship work?
