If you didn't get to "really" know them before you dated them, *not knowing their political beliefs, spiritual beliefs, personality, etc.* do you regret some of your decisions with dating in high school? If you could do it all over again, would you be more or less impulsive? Do you feel you were too impulsive when it came to dating, knowing what you know now?

I knew this girl that I really liked and we started to date about 3 weeks. We broke up about 1 year later... but we´re still friends.

Well, I waited 7 month before I started dating they guy i just happened to be with now. We're going on four years now and I think that all that time we were friends really helped. We got to know a lot about each other before we decided to go out. I got to know his political veiws, beliefs, etc. It's actually entertaining sometimes with things we don't agree on because be debate for hours and sometimes even days. We'll talk about anything ranging from abortion rights to the existance of God. It's intresting to know how your honey processes information and learning why they believe in some of the things that they do. Now, there are still things I'm learning about him, but that's what makes the relationship fun! I hope I helped a bit and good luck!

Well if you like this person then make your move before it is to late but just like talk to them for a lil while and then just say so i was thinking if you weren't bizzy (whenever you want) do you want to come hang out....like a date? People love to be upfronted because they may feel the same way!!!!!

i knew mine for about 2 years and we got to know eachother more. if you are just getting to see how long you should wait, you just have to wait untill you are sure they are a great match for you
