If you're confused by her behavior, don't retaliate as you did, by not paying her any attention. Be upfront and ask her if everything's ok and get her to talk about it. If she's down, she'll want to talk about it, and ignoring her may make you feel better, but it won't solve anything. Talk to her.

She may have said that mean little thing to try and convince herself that she doesn't like you anymore (if she did like you suggested). However, she probably just ended up hurting herself by saying the mean thing because it most likely wasn't wholeheartedly. She might just be going through a rough time and saw you as an out to push some of her problems on. Obviously it was not successful. She most likely is ashamed of what she said, or worried of how you will take it. I would bring an extra cup of coffee to work, offer it to her and say, "Hey, are you okay?" with a easygoing and friendly smile. Soon into conversation, tell her you want to drop what happened and forget about it; it's no big deal to you. She'll appreciate you for it.

From a female's prospective..
I would say that since she is already seeing someone that she may have liked you, and when you didnt pay attention to her she felt let down. And depending on the comment she made, she was probably just trying to get you attention and it didnt work so she felt even worse.
It don't hurt to ask her how she feels about you, if she just wants to be friends then she will let you know.
Hope this helps =)

I would say its a pride thing, girls really like to have the attention and like to be the one turning people away. I would say that she does like you and if she is acting like this then I'm sure its all in defense, she either doesn't want anyone to know that she is into and wanted to see what others think of by saying something bad or she just hasn't plain admitted to herself. You see it took me a long time to admit my feelings for my husband because well he just wasn't what i thought my type was even though he knew and everyone else did that we were going to be together as a women we always need to feel like we are in control so until i realized it for myself it didn't matter if he like me or not. So hang in there life is ruff when you are dating, tomorrow when you go into work just forget anything really happened and say something nice like did she do something new with her hair or is that a new outfit. If none of that fits then compliment her on her work. hope that helps!

Well if you like her and it sounds like she likes you, maybe she's frustrated that you haven't made a move to ask her out. That doesn't excuse her signifying and acting aloof because you ignored her. Maybe the guy she's going out with is her second choice since she hasn't gotten the go ahead from you. Maybe you should let her know how you feel. Nothing beats a failure but a try.

Obviously she's a little....on the obsessed side. It sounds like. I mean, if she acts like this. Don't pay attention back, because she's trying to "control" you. I think, a woman should not take advantage of the man in this sense.

Hey maybe she still likes you but got tired of waiting for you. Take the first step and be honest with her. Don't be afraid, you wont loose anything on the other hand you will know what is going on.

she's either mad since you didn't pay attention to her, so she's trying to make you jealous or mad, OR she just doesn't like you anymore, but im sure she's trying to get your attention
