If two people got a marriage license in NYC, did the "legal waiting period" then got married and have an actual marriage certificate - (done legally - there was a witness and all 4 of them signed the marriage license, that was required to get the marriage certificate) but the marriage was never consumated and they never lived together (in fact these 2 people hardly spoke again a month after the ceremony)- is this STILL considered a legal marriage that requires a divorce? This happened 10 years ago, and neither party can afford a divorce, which is why nothing was done about till now.

If it is still considered "legal" - does that mean they are still entitiled to each others Social Security, Alimoney, Dividing of Assets acquired during the duration of the marriage, etc...

One still lives in NYC and the other in New England. What is the actual LEGAL status of this marriage?

My soon to be ex husband is trying to join the national guard but in order for him to do that i have to give the ok because we are still married i told him that if he would agree to pay for the divorce i would give him the ok what can i do to assure that he pays for it? Can we write up a contract and have it noterized? Would that hold up in court?

My matron of honor wants to take me bar hopping for my bachelorette party which is ok I guess...but I would really like to go to the strip clubs and hang out with the guys because I know they will be having all the fun!!! he wants to hang out every day, and sometimes i really need alone time. he just assumes that i am going to hang out with him for hours every day, but i have lots of other things to do. he complains when i have to go to ballet or do homeowrk, and insists on coming over to "help" me with my homework, when he just sits there and complains and says to hurry up. when i need my space, and i dont feel like cuddling or being tickled ALL THE TIME, he just pouts and then goes back to doing it five minutes later. it just annoys me and makes me snap at him. if he just gave me space for an hour, or wasnt so clingy, i wouldnt get into bad moods! how do i make him understand without soundling like a complete bi*tch face?

on friday she asked if i had a girlfriend. i said no. Today, i noticed her moving her leg back and forth so that her knee would "accidentally" touch my thigh. I've been hanging around with this one guy for awhile.

Anyways, whenever he gets close and there is eye contact between us, I become totally submissive, like a shy little girl who doesn't know how to make the next move, and my eyes look down.

What is it with this reaction?

Oh, and whenever I get to close with a guy, I tend to step back because I am scared for some reason.

Can anyone help explain this odd behaviour.

I gave the other guy a Sony PSP but we are just good friends although I did tell him I was confused with him and my BF but now its like he is more distance..before he said he didn't care I had a BF and told me he could never be angry with me..but he turned wierd on me after I gave him some drama but he will still talk to me but just act seems like he is hiding from me..and not because of the PSP things...He said thanks for that etc but i told him I moved to another town with my BF..

To day i was stand at the canteen with my friends coz one of them was getting her noodle filled with water.

(SO) i was standing there and there was this guy who works in the canteen and he was squirting sour cream on the nachos and while doing that he was squirting some on cron chips and eating them, not actually takling to him i was like "i saw that", and then he turned aroundd and smiled.

Ive found out his name which i found out becuase one of the guys and my form class knew and he told me wiht out knowing i was really wanting to know etc.

Me and my friends are always getting noodles and he's always the one out of many filling them up...

my husband and i have been together almost 7 years and married 2. we go together at 16 and married at 21. i kinda feel like we have outgrown each other and we have no common intrests. we argue all the time and have called it quits so many times already just this month. i am a ver independent yet family oriented person. a few months ago he asked for a cut in his hours for no real reason and now i have been supprting us on what i make. it is nowhere near enough and now we are so far in debt we have to move back to my parent but honestly i don't think i want him moving back in with me. he doesn't see our money problems as his doings. he says he doesn't like to work because i stoppd showng him love but i am so angry at the whole situation i don't feel any love toward him anymore. why would he do this to us. i am not money hungry its just that now we can't keep a roof over our heads. on top of it i think he has a pill problem that he blames on crohns disease. he also spends our money on pot

This year I have been hanging out with this girl quite a bit. Weve been friends for about 3 years. We smoke ganja together, and hang out...and whatnot. So I had been planning to ask her out at this little party thing some friends were having. Every knew I was planning on asking her out (even her because of noisy friends..and from what id heard she was looking foward to it).

Anyway during the night I change my mind because shes flirting just as much so with my other guy friends which i find misleading. SO after that I kind of guve up on her and tell one of my friends to go for it...so he ask her out after a while and they go out for a week and have a rocky relationship with a pretty bad breakup ect...(during which time she told me about problems and we talked alot on the phone)

Now that their relationships over im again thinking about asking her out. Good idea?

Have you known anyone who felt in love( guy and a woman) thru the net? did they have a successful marriage?
this is about a single guy who felt in love with a separated woman(however the woman did'nt tell the truth>>that she's not separated but her marriage is like a hell with her husband>>>for they quarrel a lot.she can't file divorce bec her country doesn't have one so the poor woman just suffered that consequences but wanting to leave the husband)
And now there's this guy who loved her and promised her good life and good future for the two of them..they meet thru the net and was deeply in love with each other..the guy undergone a liver transplant and hope when he gets well they will meet and plan to get married after the divorce is filed...but the guy din't know the real story...all he knew that the woman was separated and had 2 kids...
any COMMENT??? can they have a good successful marriage???ANYWAY THE 2 are deeply inlove....

Please help me on this. So I'm 18 and in college on a full-ride scholarship. My bf is 17 and in high school. He's not the most dedicated student, in fact he ditches quite often, always with some excuse or another. His dad got on his case yesterday about him not cleaning the house enough, and my bf got really upset and decided he wasn't gonna put gas in his car and was just gonna get stranded an hour away from home and force his dad to pick him up. (Real mature, right?) Well, I convinced him not to do that. He and I both have a slight alcohol problem, and recently he started smoking weed. I said I didn't want to smoke any, but he begged me so much, that I tried it. I'm also always saying I don't want to drink anymore, but he's always buying more and bringing it to me. He even wants to get a fake id to be able to access alcohol easier. And on top of all this, he's been making me pay for literally everything every time we hang out. Motels when he comes to visit, food...everything. Sorry for the list of grievances, and trust me, the list of his positive attributes would be much longer, but I'm not concerned with that right now. Anyway, I just don't know who to turn to about this because my mom would freak out and anyone else's opinion would be too biased. What do you guys think I should do?

The way we see is that we met eachother out of nowhere and automatically hit it off.

We say the same sentances sometimes. We finish eachothers sentances. We even sometimes do the same move or hand motion or dance or sing the same song at the same time.

Our past even matches, as does our families. Even little habits are the same between us.

Are we soul mates?

We love eachother with all our hearts and want to get married eventually.

if your "ex" (we never got to become official because he started liking someone else, after leading me on for three weeks...) broke your heart, about a month ago.... (i still will Always love him though.. and i'm about as over him as i guess i can be for now.. we only truly dated for two weeks, then he led me on for three more..) but then his best friend told me that HE himself liked me (after being there for me and comforting me the week after my "ex" dumped me) and that he wanted to date me. i was just wondering your opinions on dating the Best Friend. because i myself think it is wrong, that i should be off limits to the guys best friends... but many people say it is fine. but i wonder what does this look like in my ex's eyes? does he think i'm just some cheap girl who will date anyone.. if i just give his friend ONE date.. just because he likes me mostly.. i believe in at least trying out a date with someone Once if they ask.. and i've told his friend i only see him as a friend too
