We've been together for at least 12 years already. I am 33 years old and she is 31 years old. we love each other so much. I wouldn't think of breaking up with her. I am willing to spend the rest of my life with her. I have 1 kid with her. I know that is out of wedlock, but isn't marriage only a legal document? why do i need to sign it just to prove our love and commitment? We can show our love and commitment without the marraige ceremony.

To my friend of 8 years. She called me at work when I was really busy and started to give me a hard time because I went out somewhere and did not invite her. I said "please dont call me at work and give me a hard time of it" she then hung up on me and is telling everyone she has severed all connections with me because I really have hurt her

I put this question on two months ago and the problem is still not resolved. She did send me a birthday card but it was a joint one with my husband as our birthdays are on the same day. If she had sent me a personal one I would have called her. I have sent her a card of condolence as she has recently had a friend die.
Should I call her or not?

I have been married for 3 years. My husband is a courteous, kind, gentle and loving human being. However, we live in a very small town (I used to live in cities) which has almost 0 job opportunities for either of us. I am college educated and still cannot find work (it's been over 2 years) although I've sent out 10 resumes a week, asked around etc. He lost a major position but can't find work in the area except for p/t. We own a home but don't make enough to keep up with property taxes etc. etc. I've suggested we move to an area where we can find work. He has said no because his son lives here. I am only 33, he is 48. I don't want to spend another day wasting my life away not feeling professionally, intellectually fulfilled. I totally lack purpose right now. My self-esteem is in the toilet. We have gone to marriage counseling. Several times.
What am I not understanding? Thanks for your help.

There is this new guy in school, and I didn't really think much of him when I first saw him. But I began meeting him at more frequent times... and I'm afraid I've started to like him! I have a feeling he does as well..... there are times when I would catch him staring at me. Okay so I'm on my school track team and this these two girls Laura and Melissa are always coming up and talking to me. i am from india ; both love and arranged mariages are jostling here . we are modern but many of us are still steeped in medieval viewpoints . i met this girl in chat ; i am 36 she is 22 . she is very spunky very electric but very ill ( she has a brain injury )and troubled in her personal life . we got on to phone chat and quickly very deep feelings came to both of us in most part because she found a friend in me who was always there to give a shoulder to cry on . we met each other on a date i thought to be very successful ...... then her 16 year old cousin eloped with someone that night . so she does not want to continue the relationship anymore since her parents are ultra conservative and it will cause great hurt to them if she chose her man . if her parents are conservative why did she do this to me ? it hurts REAL BAD .. i been with many women but she seemed to be the one and she said so too . the chemistry was amazing . will she return or do i bite the bullet and keep walking ?

I believe everyone knows about how relationship works on Chinese Culture.. a chinese should marry a chinese person also. I just want to know if you guys agree with this tradition.
