Remember those days growing up making friends without a care in the world? We would make a friend almost each day, and some of them are still our best friends to this day? Why as adults we don't have that easiness to met new people?

Because of a job opportunity I moved into a new town where I don't know anyone.
After realising I spend my days at the computer and phone talking to my old friends, I decided I got to go out and meet new friends.
I don't believe bars or discos are good options, but as this is the first time I find myself in this situation, what should one do?

if a guy wants to have sex, and no woman will, what is that guy to do? if he was really crazy, he'd probably rape some chick... and there are a lot of crazies out there. if legal, wouldn't the number of rapes go down?

I never buy her what she tells me to get her.She calls me and says I want you to get me _____ for me .Its never under 100.00!
I think it is very rude to ask for an gift that cost so much. She knows I am saveing up for a new car and I think she is jelouse.
She will get me a $10.00 gift most likely a re-gift.I keep telling her I do not want to exchange gifts but she wont hear me.For two years I got her NOTHING but she wont take the hint. She just goes around telling people what a bad friend I am with out telling them my side.I almost dont even want to be her friend over this anymore (its been 15 years) What should I do?

My fiance and I have been together almost 7 years, and living together almost as long, we own a home, etc. We may be getting married late this summer, very small affair, nothing fancy. As far as gifts are concerned, we do not need the traditional newlywed gifts like china or appliances. What we need is money. I mean, we're not poor, but we could always use a little extra. What is a polite way to ask people to give money instead of traditional gifts? I hope this doesn't sound tacky or greedy, but if people would like to give gifts, I don't really want a bunch of stuff I already have. Any thoughts on this?

We met over a yr ago and we are always there for each other. She's been acting odd lately I'm assuming because of my involvment with a guy I've been seeing. She is so negative about it, always pointing out what are the faults in her eyes. The same thing happens whenever I meet a new friend. She starts trying to become friends with my friends...it's just very odd to me. How do I talk to her about this and let her know it's bugging me

I'm throwing my best friend her bachelortte party. It's more than likely going to be at my apartment and the girls invited are some I used to work with and she still works with (I worked at a doctor's office for 2 1/2 years which is where she and I met. I got a new full-time and better paying job about two months ago and she's still working at the doctor's office. She's been there about 2 years now). I plan on having finger foods and party favors that I saw on some websites. But I need some cute/funny games to play that night. Nothing too risque, my friend is easily embarrassed. And we're not having a stripper either. Just some stuff that's fun for everyone without going too far. Thanks a bunch!

Oh, and I read somewhere that the hostess of the bachelorette party is supposed to give a speech when all the guests get there to kick everything off. Is that true?

Okay, my husband and I were seperated for almost one year.We have two boys together, one of seven and one of three. While we were seperated, we both had another partner that we shared our lives with, so after deciding to reconciliate it has been kind of tough forgetting many things. It seems harder on him just to think that I had another Man in my life than he thinks is for me, which I do not agree with. It's been approximately 7 months that we are together, and I have had absolutely no contact with my ex-boyfriend, I do not need to because I know that it is not right. However, I look at my husband's Sprint Cell Phone "bill archive" often just to see who he has called, because as a woman you have those kind of instincts.Come to realize, there are three calls made to a particular number that I know is where his ex works at, because I have called and have heard her voicemail, so I know that it is her.Two of the calls lasted 1 minute and the third lasted 20 minutes.I do not know how to just..

My wife fell in love with me very hard when we first met. I did with her as well. I proposed only after 3 months. Here’s the deal….even though she loves me I don’t think she really knew what she was getting herself into. I’ve got 2 kids from a previous marriage and she has 1. Now she has to work with me as a team, she doesn’t always get her way, and we have to answer to each other. She’s fighting it now where in the beginning she accepted everything without even thinking. It’s like reality struck and I feel like she just stopped loving me the way she used to and is resentful now that she understands that marriage is a lot of hard work. Have a lot of you wives felt like that when you first got married? How long did it take for it to subside? I’m waiting patiently for my sweet, caring woman I married to come back. I know it’s overwhelming for her but before you make any suggestions I do help a ton around the house and I even golf with her and get a babysitter. There’s just more work and she’s having a hard time doing it. It’s almost like now she thinks marriage isn’t worth it. It’s concerning me and makes me think she’s thinking that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. Calm my fears ladies and give me some advice.

Why do people think the best thing is to leave the person and go find someone else? What is the big need to "have" to be with someone after you have been dumped or have dumped someone? Wouldn't it be better advice to stay on your own for awhile? What are your thoughts?

My friend got REALLY drunk at this party and passed out on a bed in one of the empty rooms. She told me about this the next day but she said that someone came in and had sex with her. She said that if she were sober then she wouldn't have even had sex with anyone. She knew what was happening but was SO drunk that she was coherent enough to stop it, i guess. Is that classified as rape?

I am pregnant and my daughter is 7. Their dad is not around. So now there is a skiing night with her school and I can't go on the hill pregnant (and I can't really ski anyway, lol). Each child is supposed to have a parent on the hill. My daughters friend comes from a family with a mom and dad and he offered (without my asking) to watch my daughter on the hill. I was so happy. My daughter is so excited to go skiing. I will watch from the lodge and I am so glad she gets to go as she has a supervisor on the hill. Since valentines is coming up, I had my daughter make a thank-you one to him... but I would like to scrap that and do something tonight... not over the top... like maybe a gift certificate from Tim Hortons (drive though coffe shop in town)... but that seems a little over the top too... how do I show my appreciation without making too big a deal about it (I dont' like big displays of emotion... they embarras me).

My girlfriend and i have been going out for 4 months now. She doesn't believe me when I say I love her. For awhile now, she says that I have been acting like shes my friend rather then my girlfriend. What can I do to show that I love her and get her to start to believe me?
