Hey baby, let's get hitched!
seriously
Speak to her father and get his permission.
Take her to a favorite spot or an exceptionally nice spot.
Turn her chair towards you
Get down on one Knee
Open up the ring box and hold it up in one hand
Look her in the eyes and say
"Hey baby, let's get hitched."
Just kidding
Say "Would you do the honor of becoming my wife?"

if you have a couple friend who will help you out. You take the girl out for a romatic dinner. Simple. Lovely. Her favorite place, flowers, etc. Then pick a location you can walk her to without creating suspicion, a park across the street, the fountain that you pass on the way home, her front yard if need be, and have your friends cover the place with cadles, rose petals, flowers, etc while youare at dinner. Make a beautiful romantic scene that you can stumble upon. Give them a call when you leave the restaurnat so they know youare on your way, and have them hide in the bushes with a video camera. Walk her there, let her notice the lovely setting you've stumbled upon first and drop to your knee. I once helped a friend do this, and it was amazing. Personalize at will. Good luck!

You must start the day perfect, make her breakfast in bed, Go out do some shopping or go to a concert/sporting event, a SPA treatment like couples massages would be perfect( go ahead of time & buy gift cert. say they were given to you from work or won from the radio so she doesnt get suspicous) something just have a wonderfull full day planned.
Do not do it on valentines day that is to common of a day you dont want her to suspect a thing.Go to a park or ocean have a friend hide in a bush to record you and then just bend down on one knee and say
" will you make me the happiest man in the world be my wife?"
or everything from the bottom of your heart.
Be sure to complement her all throughout the day and treat her like a queen. At home have champagne and chocolate strawberries chilled.

Make it fun and unexpected. Start going somewhere where you would like to ask her if you don't have that special significant place. Somewhere romantic, fun, exciting, casual, anything as long as you two have great memories there.
Once you know where you would like to pop the question make sure it's a random day setting. Nothing too different from other dates, so just wait till AFTER she says yes because believe me, the more unexpected the better.
**try not to let the excitment get ahead of yourself, this is the moment she will remember and talk about for the rest her life... and people will ask how you asked her too!

you need to have discussions first about plans.
don't propose out of the blue until you've had lots of
talks about the possibility of a future together.
iron out a lot of the details in advance and then
pop the question (by now you know the answer will be yes)
in a romantic setting. it is more of a formality.

First, be reasonably sure she'll say "yes." Pick a time and place that is romantic and that you can someday tell your kids about. (For example, "Well, kids, when I asked your mother to marry me she was so surprised she nearly fell out of bed" may not be the best story.) Then just look in her eyes and ask her to marry you. You don't need fancy gimmicks, sky divers, or Super Bowl scoreboard signs.

First, it would be wise to have sufficient evidence that the other person will accept your proposal.
Then, it would be appropriate to do it in the presence of her family, if possible. You can do it with just the two of you in a romantic setting, but you are marrying into a family that she had before she met you.

Nobody can offer u advice on this, as it is such a personal thing. It depends on ur partner. Personally, i dont like the tacky over-the-top proposals. Just something romantic, personal and private.
Good luck...Hope she says yes! lol

On a magical night we were taking a walk on a large lawn at our university. I asked him just before midnight (still not sure what possessed me to do something that risky and outrageous). His answer- "My heart has no problem with yes".
That was 16.5 years ago.
