tony has joint custody and has his 9yr old son mike every other day.mike is very active in sports and tony allways goes to watch mike play(which in like 2-3 days a week)then on the weekend there is always school stuff/sports games ect.if these events fall on a day tony does not have his son he still goes.i feel tony spends more time with his exwife than me since she allways goes too.i can go to(for the most part)but i end up just standing around while tony and his ex talk about upcoming events, dr appts, school stuff ect.plus i have to deal with the ex glaring at me the whole time.this happens like 2-3 times a week.i tryed getting more involved with mike like helping in his class so i would not feel so left out.well the ex found out and flipped out.now i'm not even allowed at his school.my husband will not defend me as he feels it will only make things worse for mike.is there any other stepmoms out there that have to deal with all this drama too and how do u deal with it?

Well, by "charm" I mean being a butt-kisser. You can debate me on that, if you like.

Okay I've been trying for the past few months to reach out to my ex-wife and be friendly with her. I've told her that I just want to be friends and nothing else. She tells me that she doesn't feel comfortable speaking to me because her current boyfriend would disapprove. I agreed to not call her, however I did send her a text message saying happy New Years and Merry Christmas. After I did that she called and left a message on my voicemail saying that she got in trouble from her boyfriend because I left two harmless messages that I sent to everyone. I sent her a message back stating that I will never contact her again. Then today she calls me, I answer and she tells me that she called the wrong number. I just said, ok, bye. She has done that in the past a couple of times. Do you think it was an honest mistake or she intentionally dialed my number?

I have a male friend who i care for very much, and as we are both leaving for very seperate universities soon, It is possible i may never see him again, or at least not for a very VERY long time. I would really like to give him a gift, of which to wish him the very best of luck with everything and that i will miss him greatly and will never forget him. I want it to be fairly sweet and small (so nothing big, flash, or expensive) and somthing with significance (but not TOO much significance so it's seen as stalkerish), nothing romantic or mushy either. Im really stuck for ideas and would really like some suggestions or links to ideas!
thanks!

I have been divorced from my ex (we'll say his name is John) for 7 years and have been married to my husband (we'll say Sam) for 5 years. Sam has had a few run-ins with John and does not for the most part get along. Alot has to do with the male ego and temper. Not to long ago, Sam called my oldest daughter (mine and Johns) a very nasty name and John was upset as well as myself. However I've gotten over it and so did she. However, John told my daughter that when he saw Sam, he would approach the situaiton and let him know he didn't appreciate the disrespect to our daughter. I accidently heard about this, however I haven't let Sam know that this had been said. Recently I dreamed that myself and Sam were in the Bingo Hall and John came in, asked Sam why did he do it, and got up and shot hiim 3 times int he chest. He ran and threw the gun to me, I threw the gun into the river and cried hysterically over my husband. I'm not sure what this meant, but is this a pre-warning to me?

This is what I just received in the mail from a wedding in which I was in the Bridal Party. For reference, my gift was a set of 6 gold-rimmed expresso cups and saucers, a deluxe coffee grinder and expresso beans.

"Thank you for attending our wedding. Thank you for choosing such a unique gift of the expresso set of coffee beans, grinder and serving set. ******* and I do not drink any type of coffee due to my headaches and other medical problems. So, if possible you can send a gift receipt we both would be appreciative. Thanks again for your thoughtfulness."

This is copied verbatum. With said information, I am not quite sure how to react. I am leaning towards the idea that Ms. Manners or Emily Post or whoever would not approve of this thank you note.

Regardless, the bride(zilla) previously drank coffee, and I do think that even if she doesn't now it is a beautiful serving piece/set for company. At the least, I don't find it polite to write what she did!

Please advise.

I'm retired military, have a great pension of $5000 + per month, get free medical/dental from the Veterans Administration. My house is paid for don't owe any bills except utility bills each month.

My girlfriend is whining that i need to get a full-time job and get serious about life. She works full-time and resents the fact that I don't work full-time.

I'd rather go to the gym and workout daily, then do a round of golf, go to a museum or art show or library or go out in my workshop and do woodworking. I only work 2 12 hour shifts as a ptsd counselor. I'm retired military i put in 34 years active duty and i don't want to work a fulltime job again.

Am i being selfish or what? Should i go back to work full-time?

A friend of mine - she calls me pet names a lot, and if we're in a group, tends to talk to me more than the other people. Also, she's mentioned to me several times how she's broke up with her ex.

She expects me to get all A's when I am trying the best I can. And we have honor roll and that's when you can't get a grade lower than a B- and I got a B- in math so I am still on the honor roll. Still, she said "A B-??? That's almost a C!" But I didn't get a C! I got a B! So why does she have to worry about something I didn't even get? I am in 7th grade and we have tons of work and she is always comparing me to my old friend who is Little Miss Perfect. I always talk to my mom about this but she says she has "normal expectations" for me. High honors is all A's. Instead of being happy I made honors, she yells at me for not getting high honors. What can I do about this???

This way when you marry a chick or a dude that has a high body count, you can make your body count equal to that of your spouse without any threat of divorce or crap like that. Then they can make that a law and make people more accountable about sleeping around. That would fix this messed up Dating / Marriage system

How do you like that!

I'm 19 and i'm done with playing around in life. all i want to do is find the woman of my dreams and get my carrier started.
i'm going with a girl now and i'm madly in love with her, we been going out for 4 months, today :) we have so much in common and everything is going great and getting better. shes helpful, supportive and very smart. after about 10 or 11 months if everything is still going great would it be wrong if i proposed to her?
Most people probably think that were all lustful, but we both chose not to be sexual other than kissing because we don't want to be in lust. can i have some advice?

I'm 26, and my 15 year old cousin just informed me that she's thinking about committing suicide. She and her mom are constantly fighting and her mother constantly sides with her husband. She informed me that she's considering suicide and she asked me to come live with me for a while. She's my favorite baby cousin and I would love to have her stay with me, especially since my house is closer to her school. She's a really good kid, and she confided in me that her step dad hit her a few times, and she's frustrated because her mom doesn't believe her. Now my ? is, what do I say to her mom? Do I just ask her if she would allow her to stay with me for the remainder of the school year? I'd appreciate any advice.

how do I talk about family anger problems with a disfunctional pack of raging cave dwellers without world war three kicking off, today I tried to talk in a civil manner to my mother about some of the things on my mind only to find myself on the recieving end of a hate fuelled barage of chav style verbal abuse and blood vessel bursting venom. can you suggest a way to get my family to talk without the knife drawer being opened and get a healthy family discussion going without the police riot squad going on stand bye?
please, thank you.

I put up a question about my drug addicted husband. I have not worked in 7 years, he is the only one who has the job and my credit is not good enough to get my own place. I do not do drugs. I need help. I need advice. Some of you said to get him to rehab. If I do, the rent, etc. will not get paid. I am scared. My children are waiting to see your reactions. They are helping me to make this very hard decision. What do I do?

ok when my boyfriend was laying on top of me on my bed kissing me, we stopped after a while, then he went home, and when i went back in the bedroom to fix the blankets on the bed, i noticed a condom on my bedroom floor, and i thought "that must be his, it must of fell out of his pocket". so if he brought a condom with him, how come he didn't ask to have intercourse with me? or was he waiting to see if i was gonna ask first?
