I said previously, you cannot afford to have a drug addicted husband around the house with your children. He has to get help himself even if this means financial problems for the short term. Speak to the owner of you place and explain the circumstances, if you have been a good tenant I am sure that you can come to some arrangement. Same with your husbands job, he is sick and needs time to get himself well. It's not easy but it has to be done.

I think you should present this problem to your city Family Services, where you might be eligible for financial and medical aid....Call your city Hall for some information..After you find out what your options are from The Family Service Division, Get your husband in rehab..You must protect your children against danger from a drug addict...I don,t know how old your children are,but you might get a job to become more independent.

Look into some public assistance. There are some programs that will refer your husband to a free or low cost rehab.
Your children deserve to live with drug free parents and thank God that you are able to set that example for them. Go to social services in your county and be persistent. Don't give up. There is help out there. It's families like yours that I don't mind paying taxes for. You need the help and I hope you can get it. Good luck you you, your kids and your husband.

Getting your own place has nothing to do with credit. If you want to get away from the situation...contact a friend or family member who will allow you to stay with them until you get on your feet. If you want to stay with him and try to work things out, definitely get him into a rehab and contact Social Services. They will be able to assist you with your rent, bills, food and Job Finding services. Whatever your decision, make sure you and your children are taken care of.

Get out and see about getting welfare or something. Find a smaller private home or condo to rent that might be willing to overlook poor credit. Move in with a family member- parents, aunt, uncle cousin, sibling- until you get yourself sorted out. Your kids need you to be strong. Go to your church and ask the pastor for help.

It sounds that you and your children will have to go on welfare until you can get back on your feet. Perhaps a local shelter can lead you to what steps you can take. Best wishes to you and your children, I know it's difficult for you.
