met this girl back in June. She had a BF. (now..dec 19th 06' has been with him a year) she stated he cheated when they first started but she trusts him now and said he hasnt done it since. Anyway. We connected in a flash..the same interests weird attitudes, and warm hearts. We started seeing eachother alot..led to kissing dinners and eventually intimacy. all this time he was away in costa rica she was here. she said when she goes back to school with him that she has to see her feelings. We ended up falling in love and told eachother. She told me in september that the right thing to do is stay with him cause she loves him to. from sept till now we still talk alot and when she comes home we meet up and hang out. she still feels the same and so do i and we've kissed and and still very close. SHe decided if we're to remain close to not act on our impulses. Cuz we mean alot to eachother. she made a promise if anything happens one day. we'll be together.

I do not understand everyone saying this. Yes after some web exploration statistics show that people who go out get drunk, have one night stands or something along those lines...yes it usually happens more than once or twice, they have a very high rate of reoccurence. BUT, through working with my therapist I have learned that a spouse in a marriage of 5 or more years that has an affair lasting several months or more, after discovery and/ or admission has a very low rate of reoccurence. Especially if the married couple recommit to one another and work things out. Actually couple who go through this and MAKE it tend to have a deeper more connected relationship afterward. It just irritates me to know end for people to put all cheaters in the one category. How about the other woman "Once a whore...always a whore? Thats ridiculous, when women like that find someone to love them truley they are usually very happy with that person. So I believe cheaters and 'other people' can all change.

Ok so my ex and I broke up 2 months ago even after the breakup we still spent time together about 3 weeks ago she told me that she didnt want to be with me so I guess you can say we officially broke up then. I still talked to her in some way everyday. She left to go away to school Sunday its only about an hour from where I live. SHe has called me about four times since then and we tell eachother goodnight everynight. I miss her. I know that I need to get over her but its hard. I just want to have her in my life in some way even if it means that we will just be friends. I want to see her but things are so awakward. Should I tell her I miss her or just continue to have casual conversations. I really love this girl.

I have a friend who's husband is a good man, a responsible father and has not cheated on her. BUT his past bothers her and she said that she can handle it but it is pushing her away from him. He is almost 30 now but in his early twenties he was a self described "player" borderline giggalo and he was previously married had 2 kids from his marriage and had problems admittedly because he was immature and he even fathered a child out of wedlock after his 1st marriage but shortly before she met him which he admitted to her he fathered that child but AFTER they were married. But now, he is responsible, upright and open about everything else but he was only 26 when she met him. Is it really out of his system? They have been married 3 years and now and have a child together. He has a high-paying job and takes care of home and is even patient with her moods but she is having a hard time respecting him and opening up to him because of who he was. Is she wrong? What should she do?

I have been dating my boyfriend for a little over 4 years now and for the past 2 years things haven't been good. He cheated on me with a girl who was 14 at the time and he was 18 just like me. Well after that she hasn't left him alone and he still talks to her and accepts letters from her and she is going around saying that her baby is his. Well I have tried to break up with him for the past year and he doesn't want to let go. When I say thats its over and I don't talk to him he will call constantly and when I unplug the phone he will show up at my door banging on it saying that its not over that he doesn' want to be with her and that he loves me and that the baby isn't his. I really don't want to be with him But I can't get him to see that. Lately he has been all over me and want leave me alon and when I told him I found someone else he got all mad and started to cry. What I don't get is if he is still talking to her and stuff then why does he want to still be with me? any advice?

i have had relationships were im the provider. i still made them feel like they're the man of the house, even though it was my house. i've been supportive mentally, spiritually, financially and physically. i can't for the life of me figure out why they always leave for some bum chick. im 25 with no kids. i pay all my house and car bills my self. i cook and clean everyday. im not a real big bar hopper i go out maybe twice a month. and im not ugly i get fairly enough complimants. so would they rather be with chicks that got 3 kids and 3 baby daddys, or chicks that dont work and drink and club every night and just dont have anything going for themselves while good girls like me get played out

My boyfriend is so sweet and such a gentleman and always wants to do the right thing, the problem is that his ex wife gets half of his paycheck (before they take out his insurance and 401k so he gets less than she does) I work part time because we have a 2 year old son and we don't make enough to pay our bills.

I keep telling him I want to get a good full time job so that we can pay our bills and actually have a life and he keeps saying that he would feel bad if I had to work full time. I know that he is always looking out for me but I don't know if what he says is 100% true or if he is embarassed to admit that he would have a problem with me making more money than him.

My question is if I find a good job and end up bringing home more money than him will this crush his self esteem or is that an old stereotype.
