My brother sent his wife on a scavenger hunt. A driver and Limo came and picked her up when she wasn't expecting it. (he did make sure she was going to be home) He sent her on a wild goose chase, and at the end, he was there on bended knee and had will you marry me in the sand. Beautiful thought...although I am not a fan of the sister in law LOL Good luck.

My advice is to never propose or get married on a holiday. If the relationship doesn't work out, then that holiday is flooded with bad memories. You can let yourself forget that just a regualr day has past, but no one lets you forget a holiday is here.
What my fiance did was he got my sister and my 6 nieces and nephews involved. I was so excited that the people I loved the most got to share in that amazing moment with me. If only my parents could of been there. Also if you have the means to, call her parents and ask for permission. It meant a lot to me that he did that.

Take her out to dinner and a movie. After the movie layout a blanket under the stars and just look at the beautiful scenery. Meanwhile you could have one of her close friends go to your house and scatter rose petals around. Have her light some candles and set a really romantic setting for you. Then when you get back home you could propose after having completely set the mood!!

doesn't matter as much where and when you do it but get down on one knee and ask for her hand. If you want it public make sure her friends are there.... I wouldn't tell them you are going to do it, but maybe sometime when you are all out together. If you want it private, maybe do it in the same place you met her or a spot that is special to both of you. Maybe even go take a day trip somewhere and do it on a picnic blanket. Do it when she least expects it.

why not invite her to an acoustic concert and coordinate earlier with the event coordinator that you're planning to propose to your gf in public, then have your friends contact a florist toarrange a wonderful bouquet anddon't forget the ring, you may give her the just a diamond so that you can let her decide what design she would love to have..then when she says yes,the singer will sing your theme song or a song that she loves dearly.
try proposingon a billboard, rent a bill board along the expressway (i hope there's traffic so that she can read it WELL.
congrats in advance!!!

One of my friends had an idea that he never followed through with because it was too much time/work/money. He was going to have his girlfriend's friends come to her house early in the morning and put her in medieval clothing and put her in a horse and carriage headed somewhere. Then some of his friends were going to ride up on their own horses and attack the carriage, then he (the boyfriend) would ride up, thwart the attack, then propose to her. It was a great idea but it involved a lot of horses and a lot of us learning how to ride horses.

Wow, there are some good ideas. My husband gave me a teddy bear that said I love you Sweetheart(what he calls me very rarely) in his voice and a plastic heart filled with conversation hearts(my favorite candy) then he took me out to dinner at a place on a lake, since it was Feb. the lake was frozen and the night before it had snowed a bit, the trees and houses were covered in a blanket of snow, and no footprints on the lake. I sat down and admired the view as I started to eat my candy and he said "don't eat the green one" My eyes got big cause I thought I had just put a green one in my mouth and I spit it out and closed the heart and looked at him, he was fubbling with is coat and he pulled out a white box...I smiled and he took my hand and let me to the window and got on one knee and asked for my hand in marriage. We both cried and smiled. I said yes and we hugged. We sat down to eat and I couldn't stop smiling, I was so happy. He kept asking if I was going to stop smiling so that I could eat. I later found out that he had to go through 2 lbs of coversation hearts to find one that said "Marry Me" on it. The heart was filled with loving words on each candy. "I love you", be mine, my girl, u r sweet ect. It still makes me smile from ear to ear. I wish you the best now and in the future, use your creativity and think about what she would smile for...Good Luck!

Well... I don't know where you are located or if you're planning on taking a vacation (or could plan to take one).
My husband proposed to me at Discovery Cove in Orlando, Fla. It is the sister park to SeaWorld where you spend the day swimming with aquatic life. He planned the day out, blind folded me on the way there (we were staying at Disney World). Everyone in the staff seemed to know what was going on but me!
During the dolphin encounter, the trainer said, "We reward the dolphins in two ways here. We either feed them mackarel or we play with them. Since Cindy has been fed mackarel this entire encounter, I am going to send her to the back of the lagoon to get a toy. Would anyone like to volunteer to play with her?" Of course, I raised my hand. The families with younger children were rather upset that the young, attractive trainer picked someone closer to his age then their little girls.
He had me extend my arms and Cindy rolled a buoy right into them. I looked down and the buoy had writing on it. The last line said, "Will you marry me?" I was barely able to squeak out a, "Yes. But now you're stuck with me for good." Everything is on film and photos.
We got out of the encounter, which the little girls were now saying, "I am not going to say yes unless I get a proposal like that!" and were immediately greeted by a cast member. I didn't know she was the girl my husband had been working with all a long. While she presented me the coupon for our free video and photographs of the encounter/proposal, she held one hand behind her back. The ring was in that hand. My husband knew to take that from her. When she finished, he got down on bended knee in the sand and asked the official question. He'd been very quiet up until that point. In his mind, it wasn't official as he couldn't ask on one knee with the ring in the tank (in case it got lost or the dolphin took interest).
We got our pictures ordered and were taken to our dolphin-lagoon front cabana where we got to spend the rest of the day when we weren't out and about in the water. It had red roses, champagne, a box of chocolates (which I still have), and a glass picture frame. Everyone seemed to know who we were- cast member to janitors would come up and say, "Well, let's see the ring!" or "Were you that surprised!?"
It was very romantic and perfect for us. We enjoyed having the whole thing of film as we were able to show it in the video we did for our wedding reception. It will be nice for children to be able to see it, as well.
While you don't have to worry about crowds as the park is limited to about 100 guests each day, you should worry about the heat. We were engaged in early June (just after Memorial Day) and it was incredibly hot. The sand throughout the resort was almost uncomfortable to walk on. That's why we were so excited about the cabana!
If you are interested, I urge you to visit the Discovery Cove Special Event website for contact information and pricing details.
Best wishes and Congratulations (just a little bit early!)
