My friend is very sick, he lost his voice a couple of days ago. I really want to cheer him up ... any suggestions how i can do it !!! :)

I'm 18 and have experienced alot for my age. I was just wondering. I havn't fell in love with someone for so long, the last time i felt something for someone was this guy grant when i was in year 8. I don't know if this makes me a bad person, i want to fall in love with someone and someone to fall in love with me. I know its sounds like a bit much to ask but thats all i want. It is normal to want to be in love so much???? : )

im a guy and theres this girl that im very good friends with but we're just friends. whenever we go out to eat, is it right for the guy to always pay? i think if youre friends, thats unfair all of the time because a guy can work hard for his money and he shouldnt have to pay all of the time just because he has the title of male. personally, whenever we go out, regardless of whoever came up with the idea, it seems we switch paying, like 1 time i'll pay for us and another time she'll pay and ill pay the next time and so on. and she seems fine with that. so what do you people think of that? should a guy always have to pay as friends?

Im 15. But my boyfriend and I have a pretty good relationship that's lasted around nine months. Only problem is, I told a humongous lie and I need to talk to him about it. My only problem is that we don't spend time outside of school together much, and I don't want to tell him this online or on the phone, obviously. I don't think I can find time when we see each other @ school, plus, it would be cruel of me to drop this on him like that. So how do I talk to him about getting together to talk--and any ideas on where we can go? His mom's overprotective and won't let him come over here, and I don't think I could go over there, so it can't be one of those. Please help!

Just because I love sex and love to have it often and think of creative things to spice up my sex life doesn't make me a nympho does it? I know I ask sexy questions but I am confident with my sexuality and not afraid to express myself.....

My man teases me that I have a sex drive of a guy but I don't think he should complain - alot of my gf's NEVER have sex and when they do they complain about it. I am opposite and people call me a nympho.... What do YOU think?

What is the rules of dividing ur time between ur loved ones& ur friends..?
I live together w my bf, he doesnt go out a lot cos most of his friends r married and he like to stay at home too. I love to say at home w him;its just that all of my friends r either single or attached only & they r a bunch of fun happening people.
There will always BBQ, dinner, see movie together, going out to pub event etc. I dont mind skip the niteclub, but ill like to join them sometimes for dinner, lunch on Sunday, movie etc..

The problem is that even though my bf know lots of my friends; he will still prefer to not joining most of the times. I feel bad everytime i go & he stay at home.
No point to ask his permission or talk about compromise since he will always say: Go if you want to, have fun babe.
So, whats is the proper way to divide ur time..? like, twice a week, or once a week meeting ur mates...?

We met on match website, he emailed me, we emailed and talked a couple of times, then we went out Friday. It was a nice time, everything seemed to go well, he gave me a peck at the end of the night. He was a gentlemen, conversation was good. I was nervous and it did show a little, but was still fun and interesting. I called the next day and left a message saying that I had a good time and that I would like to go out again. I haven't received a call or an email.........it is now Monday late evening. Has anyone ever gone back after breaking up a bad realtionship?

Have you been in a verbally/emtionally abusive realationship, then broke up, he went to therapy and then you tried again?

Was it better the second time around? Do you know anyone who did this? How was it for them? Did things change or get better?

Were you the abusive one? Did someone give you another chance and it worked out for the best?

Ok i have been dating my girlfriend for 5 years and 11 months. Every so often i get bored and i feel like i don't like her and i only desire to hang out with her once or twice a week. I still love her but i just feel like i want to chill with my friends for a while then i get over it and i chill with my girlfriend a lot more. Now She is in that phase for the first time in our relationship. Im trying to give her space but shes not understanding it's just a phase and everyone goes through it.

My question is; does everyone here in long term relationships go in and out of the phases a couple times a year or is it a big problem. I can't imagine being with out her i love her very much im hoping it's just a phase.

my parents are forcing me to go on medication for concentrating at school. that medicine makes me feel like a girl. it makes my mouth very dry and my breath smells like crap as soon as i take it. that pill makes me too calm. i never feel like talking with my friends. i feel weird. i am very unactive. i feel too gentle and calm like a girl. i don't like it. it is worse for the concenration. i can concentrate without it but my parents don't believe me. i am just not out there. that pill cost 2 dollars each and my mom spent 60 dollars for 30 pills and now she is saying that is a waste of money. it is very hard to talk my parents out of things or into things. it is very hard for me to convince other people.

to make things brief, my bf & i broke up about 6 months ago, but we both couldnt let go- we loved each other too much. we are finally starting to talk again and considering getting back together

but both of us have really changed over these months, and although there is conversation when were together, there are also a lot of awkward pauses. i dont think this is an indication that we wouldnt work, i just think were not yet used to each other like we used to be

I cant fill the pauses with telling him what ive been up to these 6 months and neither can he, bc but we both tried dating other people (etc), and thats hardly a good topic starter for a reconciling couple

so how do i avoid the awkward pauses? every pause makes me less hopeful for our relationship..

and what can i talk to him about? hes artsy, reads the ny times, is really into politics, likes partying, etc.. if those details help at all...
