no because i was a BIG cheater and have made the decision not to do it again --- so if the person is willing to change then they will stop cheating

No I don't believe that. However, I do believe that once you cheat on someone you will cheat on that person again. Every relationship is different and people respond to them differently. You need to find out why he cheated in the first place. That will tell the story. Could be he had good reason. However, if he cheated just for the thrill of it I would be worried.

It is said that history always repeats itself but at times people do learn from their mistakes and are capable of changing. So I suppose my response sounds kind of wishy washy but the fact is it depends on how much the cheater feels about his partners feelings and how much of a conscience they have. If you feel he has learned from it honestly and would have trouble living with himself if he cheated on you then he probably will not. But if you think he has no remorse and doesn't take you into consideration then perhaps he may. Your gut instinct is usually correct so I would suggest that you go with what it is honestly telling you about the situation. Best of luck.

It depends on the guy, i have known plenty of straight up man whores, but some guys only cheat once feal bad about it, and tell the truth about it to their girl. They then explained why and it was because they didn't want to be in that realtionship anymore and didn't know how to end it. Like i said it's all about the guy, you either trust your man or you don't. Just think about what type of guy he is and it will all be figured out! Good Luck in your realtionship!

No. I believe people can change. I was a big time cheater (call it what you will) - but after I became engaged to my husband, I stopped cheating cold turkey!

Yes and no. A guy that cheated before will only do it again if his girl lets him. This means that just because he cheated on his previous girlfriend, doesn't mean he'll do it to you. Once you put your foot down in a relationship, he will know that you are serious. Remember: a person will do just as much to you as you let them.

I cheated on my ex husband and I've never cheated since. There was a ton of baggage that led to the infidelity. Maybe the same thing happened with your BF and his Ex.

No, I believe in reform. However, it's easier to cheat the second time once you have cheated the first.
