In her book she referred to what he did as a sin of weakness and not a sin of evil. At the time supposedly she hit him in the head with a telephone and stopped talking to him for a long time until he got christian counselling from 3 clergymen.

Long story short.....he finally told her what he'd done....she beat the cr*p out of him & he had to sleep on the couch for awhile...they went to marriage counseling and now they seem to be doing OK.
