Im going away early next yr to Oz and will be gone for a year possibly 2? When i made this decission i split up with my gfriend of 4yrs as i thought it was unfair to carry on our relationship as she at Uni and would have a great time if she single, plus ill be 10000 miles away and would never see her. Now 6 months later we have started going back out, she has slept with someone else in this time-which is a bit of a turn off. Also i dont feel like i have my independence now, she says any decision i make i would have to see what she thinks first. I think i still love her-but not sure if getting back with her is the right thing, and scared to hurt her feelings AGAIN! I just wanna be able to do what i wanna do when i wanna do it, but not to hurt her feelings. When im with her i feel i miss what we had and when im not im kinda of regreting making up. I really dont know what to do?

Ok so my boyfriend and I have been dating for over a few months.
I really like him and I love being with him. The only thing i dont like is the way he dresses.. He will ware like the same jeans everytime I see him and ware a tee shirt.. Not Cute at all... I like guys who are preppy and care what they look like but he is lacking in that department... He aslo has these shoes that hes had for years and they are UGLEY..... Now my problem is that i dont know how to tell him it bothers me without him thinking that i think he dresses bad.... what do I do

This is pretty wierd and im probably just taking this farther than i should but i have a college buddy. He is a rich popular frat boy. He has a smoking hott 16 year old sister. The thing that makes me question his sanity is the way he talks about and acts towards his sister. First of all he talks hours on end with his sister on the phone like a guy regularly would with his GF. 2nd, no homo, but he is one good looking guy and so far he only sleeps with hott *** sorority chics but neva flirts or has been in a relationship with one. When he goes back home, he constantly hanging with his sis, going out to dinners and, he even buys her diamond jewlry and tons of gifts. When they kiss, its always on the lips and it always seems to long and deep. When he walks with her, they always hold hands, and they talk and act like there in love. the kicker came with the fact that during summer, he took his sister with him to brazil, who does that? Is it just me, and should i say something, or let it be?

I have a problem because I've been told by everyone around me that my "standards" are too high. I think this is somewhat true in my relationships, with people I associate with I've always held certain people to certain standards. As of late i'm finding myself more and more frustrated and dissapointed in people around me. I can't help it that I've always had high standards for myself and others around me. Is it wrong? Should I lower my standards? I don't feel that I should have to. My standards I think are not too hgh, I mostly just want what i think is best for people. Apparently they don't agree. As of right now since i have a hard time hiding my dissapproval most of my relationships with peope are pretty strained. I have no idea what I could do to some how compromise with peolpe. I know people are human and they make mistakes but that doesn't mean you have to be stupid about it. ::sigh:: I don't know what to do if anyone has any suggestions I am more than welcome to hearing them.

The reason is b/c many people teased me about my boyish figure, My friends & classmates didn't like me, I had a really strict mom who didn't let me do anything, I've never had a boyfriend, and I had a bad college experience. i used to be in an abusive relationship,but no more.and,i was offered counseling,but,i felt i didnt need to.its been a year from that.but,now i have new neighbors,and the other night,they were fighting,and he was hiting her,and they have two children.that brought back,bad memories,that i had put away.and now,im depressed,and just cant get those thoughts out o my head.i feel as if im still with my ex.i feel,scared,and theres no rason for me to be scared.but,should i go to counseling,or it ill go away,like it did before?

ok, so i'm a relatively shy 8th grade girl. i have a lot of friends and i'm pretty sociable around them...i feel comfortable around friends, guys or girls...except for cute guys. i get so nervous and i clam up around guys i like. i don't think guys that i like are really ever seeing the true me when i'm around them...i'm just too shy and i can't express myself. most girls i know already have a boyfriend or are flirting with everyone and having fun...i'm not sure where i should be right now. i think that me being shy has caused me to kinda miss out on getting to know some nice people, but i'm not ready to like make-out or go on dates and stuff. like is it weird that i am 14 and haven't had a boyfriend before?
