ok, so i'm a relatively shy 8th grade girl. i have a lot of friends and i'm pretty sociable around them...i feel comfortable around friends, guys or girls...except for cute guys. i get so nervous and i clam up around guys i like. i don't think guys that i like are really ever seeing the true me when i'm around them...i'm just too shy and i can't express myself. most girls i know already have a boyfriend or are flirting with everyone and having fun...i'm not sure where i should be right now. i think that me being shy has caused me to kinda miss out on getting to know some nice people, but i'm not ready to like make-out or go on dates and stuff. like is it weird that i am 14 and haven't had a boyfriend before?

its not wierd its normal just flirt a little and try not to get a lot of attention if you arn't ready.

That's not weird love...
I had my first boyfriend when I was 18 (partly because of the Godly fear I had for my mom and partly because i didn't think i was good enough until this guy took a real interest in me.
Here's what you can do... try to become friends with males around you eg. brother or cousin, neighbour, just get close to them.. they will help to boost your self esteem.
Plus you'll get to hang out with lots of males and put yourself at ease.

You are only 14. Don't stress over it. You will get a boyfriend when it happens. Don't rush anything, just work on school and hang out with your friends. With time things will become clearer
