Just curious, why taking into account the way society is today why would an American male(specially if you are non religious) under 40, white or black ever want to marry an American woman? I have been to about 4 weddings of Americas in the last 4 years between white male/white female, w/w, black/black, and bl male/wh female. They all got divorced in less than 2 years. Everybody that I know is getting divorced. 1) These days it is very easy to have sex without getting married, and sex is nothing to so many American women (believe me I went to college here, why buy a cow when you can get the milk for free). 2) Before most of the time the woman was the main person holding the marriage, nowadays that is mostly not the case, lots of them are pretty quick in divorcing. 3) Money loses in general are pretty bad for males. 4) Many American women are raised to be like males, not many good wives in that group, more into parties & drinking. Living with somebody seems so much efficient, and simple

My ex broke up with me 5 days ago. We planned that i go to his parents place for the break b/c i dont have a home of my own(and he told me to buy the ticket, which i did). After we broke up, he told me i still should come since he doesnt want me to be out on the street(since my dorm is closed). Tonight I flew to nyc, nobody was there to pick me up. His phone was off. I took the shuttle to his place and called a mutual friend Tom to pick me up at the shuttle station. Tom and i just went over to his place. He said he doesnt want me there and his parents acted very cold too. So here i am at tom's place b/c i have nowhere to go. My ex used every excuse to say that i shouldnt have come even after he told me i still should and his phone was acting up and his network was bad so he didnt see my email asking if anyone would pick me up or if not what kind of transportation should i use(this is my 1st time to take a shuttle to ct after all). Now i just feel they're not even decent people;i hate'em

When you're in the presence of the person you love? ***I mean, before you let them know you're interested:) Shy or not..I'm curious about how people sometimes can't even TALK when the person they like is in the same room...What's other stuff that happened to you (intimidated, sweaty palms..saying stupid stuff, something embrassing...)???

As long as 2 people are happy together why should it matter to other people unless they are unhappy with their personal lifes ?I just cant understand how 2 people can be happy as a pair and others can not.

I know my husband was aware it was my birthday this month, because he simply said "happy birthday wife" (that's what he calls me, "wife") on the correct day. However, he did not present me with card or a gift of any kind. In fact, I had gone shopping that day and my stepchild said he asked his father (my husband) to take him to the store to get me a B-day card and my husband said no. He has gotten me at least a card in the past, but not every time. I feel resentful that he does not think enough to even pick out a card. There had not been an argument, etc. so I am unsure how to interpret his non-chalance. I also did not want to bring up the subject to him either. But festering will not solve anything. Thanks. Oh, btw, we have been married three years and one and half years of dating prior.

My ex and I were young when we married, and we didn't take the marriage as seriously as we should have. We were both Catholic, but we married in front of a Justice of the Peace, not informing the Priest of our intentions. Now we are divorced, and I have met someone else that I wish to marry in the church. Am I required to go through the annulment process, even though my ex and I were married outside of the church, because we are both Catholic? Thank you for your help.
