I don't like it, but I am VERY shallow. I judge everyone on looks, I only go out with really hot girls, and I only hang out iwth really good looking people. I am shallow, and my girlfriend, who is a model, thinks I am really bad. It's just everything reflects on you, who you hang out with reflects on you, who you go out with reflects on you .... does anyone think being shallow is really bad? I can't seem to change my ways

I'll try to keep this consice :)
I'm 19 and I've been good freinds with a guy who is 41 for a while. The age gap isn't a problem for me, we get on well.
I saw him a while ago and he kissed me - we spent the evening at the pub, he kissed me and we cuddled and held hands alot. Was all very nice. Spoke about it a few days later, and he said that he didn't think there could be an 'us'. I asked him to explain, and he said he just couldn't let himself think about me in that way. Fair enough, I left it at that, thought no more of it. Went out a week or so later together, went for a coffee and a walk - he kissed me again. When we spoke about it a few days later, he said he liked me, but didn't think it was the right time for us - we are both going through a hard time. I've met a new chap - and I told him that I've got a 'date' with him soon. He was a bit funny about this, so asked him what was wrong, and he admitted that it upset him. I said to him that he either wants me or

I have been married for 20 years to an emotionally abusive moody, angry man. I have tried to hang in their for religious reasons as well as for my kids. But I am suffering from stress related health problems now and even my blood pressure is being affected. He has made numerous promises to change his ways and turn over a new leaf. He promised to stop being so self centered and make me and the kids a priority in his life. He is also a workaholic and hobbyaholic. He is non comunicative and arrogant when I bring up these issues. He has changed extremely little over the years and only temporary. He soon goes back to his old ways and I am in the throes of the same old battles again. I swear, I can't take much more of this. I try to forgive him when he apologizes and says he will do better. How or why should I keep believing him? I am literally sick and tired of being sick and tired. I want to get off this roller coaster but I can't seem to budge one way or the other to free myself from this

My girlfriend & I have recently gotten together, and been together for a month and a half, but now i am starting to realize that maybe we are too different for eachother. She always tells me that im too amazing and she doesn't deserve me, my friends and parents also tell me such, and the fact is that we are soo different in the way we've been raised and our interests and such, that i don't think anything will happen and that if i let her get too close to me and i end up regretting it, she might be hurt really bad and she's told me that she trusts me not to hurt her cuz all her previous bf's have. She's kind of anti-social and drinks a lot, im really social but don't have to rely on substances.

she's always been with guys who have been assholes to her so im the first that just cared about her. I don't know what i would say to her, but i also don't know whether to give it more time or that what im feeling right now is how ill feel 2 months from now too Are we too different to work??

I am so confused. We've had sex and dated only a few times for the past 2 months. Because we do not live in the same city, it's either him coming to me or me going to see him. And we are both in school and it makes it even harder for us to see each other because all the busy schedules. But we both made the effort to see each other. We haven't had the talk yet and he did not ask me to be his girlfriend yet. But from what we've been talking to each other, it seems like he does want a some kind of long term relationship. Does he already take me as his girlfriend already or he is just hooking up with me? And he doesn't call me that often during the week. I really want to ask him what's going on between us and don't know how? please help...

I had this guy I was best friends with for several years. We had so much fun together and were just alike. He was very good to me and my little girl. At the time he wanted to date each other but I didn't want to ruin the friendship and dated other people and ended up getting married so we lost contact. I thought about my friend all the time and wanted to be with him. I looked for him after me and my husband divorced but his number had changed. A few years passed and I finally found his new number yesterday. He was happy to hear from me and said he had been looking for me too the problem he got married last year and is happly married. He wants me to meet his wife and all of us to hang out and for us to keep in touch. I loved talking to him again. I'm really happy for him but i'm sad and don't know if I could hang out with him and his wife. I'm really having a hard time with this because I really love him and it's too late. How can I get over this and stay friends with him?

Some friends of mine were legally divorced 3 months ago. Apparently the woman decided she wanted more of the stuff that she left at the house Saturday night and BROKE IN to his house, broke two windows and took the Kirby Vaccum, a digital camera, a tape recorder , and the wiring to the VCR, DVD Player and TV, and a bunch of his cloths, and all of his bills and house payment book. He is pressing charges today, but... I am wondering if she will be charged with Breaking & Entry, Theft, Criminal Mischief, or what? Since the divorce was final, isn't it just as bad as stealing fron a stranger? He has her admitting she broke in and stole the stuff. How much trouble is she is in?

My husbands need to keep trying to reconcile with his parents and needing their approval is ruining our marriage.

Yet, I do not seem to need this from my parents. Is it because I have had it from time to time (approval or pat on the back) ? I feel it is because I am my own person and if they approve of my lifestyyle or not, this is who I am. Take me or leave me.

Could this be because I had a more positive environment growing up or is this just my personality. trying to gain some insight into this...

Thanks.....

Okay, I asked the boy I like out on myspace, but he said, "Somthing must be wrong with myspace, because I can't read your mail."
So later, I asked him on AIM, and he said, "Somthing must be wrong because I can't read your messages."
THEN, this morning, I asked him on the bus, and he said he couldn't hear me, so I asked him again and he kept saying, "What? Sorry I can't hear you!"
I'm so sick of everything messing up whenever I try to ask him out. I know he likes me because he always looks at me and stares me all the time, and he flirts with me because he was throwing paper at me while we were on the bus in a flirty way. And he commented one of my pictures on myspace and he said it was a good picture. I know he likes me, just every time I ask him out somthing goes wrong.

How should I ask him out???? I will keep trying on the computer, and I'm to nervos to get him alone and ask him, only on the bus that one time. So what should I do?
