That is a whole other story.
I am hosting Christmas at my home. I extended an invitation to my brothers "friend" to join us at Christmas. My fiancee said that if my brother brought his lover, he nor his son would come to my home to celebrate Christmas with us. He said he is careful what he exposes his son to and I certainly understand his point of view with regard to his son.
On top of that I have asked my brother to give me away at my wedding in April. My father is deceased and I have no other male relative I am close to. His lover is behaving like he is coming to my wedding even though I have not formally invited him. I do not have a problem with who he is with, but I have other people to consider and not sure what I should do. I live in the bible belt - need I say more? I want my brothers friend to feel part of the family, but I also do not want to offend or make anyone uncomfortable. I also do not want drama at Christmas or my wedding.
What would you do if you were in my shoes?

Hello! I am 22 years old, and I used to have lots of friends in high school, and when I went to a state school (dorms & stuff)--I have moved back to my home town, and gotten married, and it seems that i have lost touch with a lot of people now. I just don't have the same close friendships that I used to have, and sometimes I get really bored and lonely. I'm not sure why this is--I have "work friends" and, I am in night classes at college now, but it is one of those schools that older students go to, so its not really the same...

Im a 17 year old girl and know this 27 year old guy as hes my friends boyfriends brother. We get on so well together and i started to like him ages ago. The guy has a girlfriend of nearly 4 years. Tis girl is very, very hot. D-A-M-N. she is the energy that drives the sun. It seems that she likes me, she always wants to borrow my stationery and not anybody else. I have friends that say she likes me because I have told thenm about this problem before. My friend told me that she wanted to talk to me( me being a idiot, (read something else for idiot) didn't go. But i asked my friend what she wanted all he did was look up in the sky and say " look at the clouds is it going to rain today". I asked him again and he said she wanted to know the time. It's obvious that many girls go for older guys. In fact the last two girls that I dated were 18, and 19 years-old (I'am 22 by the way). From what I saw in High School, and in my first few years of college, was that many girls were dating older guys. However, lately, (especially in San Diego) I have seen that many younger girls will not date anyone a few years older than them. In fact many of the girls that I have met, and known at church and at SDSU will not even talk to guys who are a few years older than them, and when some of them do talk to the older guys (I have buddies at church who are 24), they do everything they can to make the conversation short. What's going on? Are younger girls now viewing older guys as creepy? Or has it been this way all along, meaning that only a few girls out there typically date older guys? Is this just the way So Cal girls are? Why is it that a nice 24 year old guy walks up to a younger girl at church and gets a wierd look or the cold shoulder?
