No, not cool at all. You did to him what he was doing to you and that brought you down to his level. Two wrongs don't make a right. You should always follow the golden rule---DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU. You should have treated him like you wished he had treated you.
