i have been married almost 5 years, living together for seven years, and together for 10 years total. no children, but a 80 lb golden retriever whom we acquired together when the dog was a puppy. my husband has an engineering undergrad degree and a MBA from a prestigious university. he earns 6 figures plus annually. i have been in grad school throughout most of our marriage and only working part time. he has paid the majority of expenses over the years. we have no debt and about $200K in assets (mutual funds, IRA, stocks, etc). we own no real estate. we live in nj, a community property state. if we divorce, will i be entitled to half of our assets. we have no prenup. i am a designer and make considerably less than he does. in addition, he did not attempt to have sex with me for one entire year, from jan 2005-jan 2006. please advise. thanks.

I ended a 2 yr and 1/2 relationship 2 wks ago impulsively i just got mad and said the magic words,So last Friday when i tried getting back with my [X] he told me he needs time to think about us about the way he acts and the way i act and just the way his life is going since hes been going through hard times. So should i give him the time and space he says he needs.? Its hard really hard when all he does is call me and text me daily and tell me he loves me and wants to be with me but not to incist on getting back with him because he will tell me when hes ready. what does he mean if he loves me why have time off?

*let me add the break up wasnt because of cheating or lying it was more like he got on my nerves because he was acting childish and the words just sliped out of my mouth..

My ex passed away last month. We have a 5 yr old son. Since he died his mother and I have not been getting along to the point where I have cut off contact with her for the time being. She says really horrible things to me and about me. With the holidays I know she'll want to see my son but given her attitude I'm hesitant about leaving him with her. I know he misses his grandparents but I don't trust them. He's already lost his father, I don't want him to suffer anymore than he has to. What do I do if I can't get along with them and don't trust them to return him if I let him go to their house? She got a lawyer and tried to keep me from getting her son's social security. They're giving it to me anyway but her lawyer told her she can get it if she has custody of my son. Now I'm afraid to even let him out of my sight. What do I do?

We had been going out for 2 and a half years, and just splt up around 2 weeks ago all because she was having a ladies night with a friend from work and her friend brought along her own friends , when out she was then told that I had been caught with someone else behind my girlfriends back with someone in my old work , just for the record we were not seeing each other at the time nevermind going out, but instead of talkin to me all she said was you can f**k off !! . since then we have spoke and because my friend had a word with her which he shouldnt have things have not went that well she has said she wants to be with me but its hard with my friends always interfering so I have cleared this with my friends and most agree I have told her this and she has said well I just think we need time apart and if its ment to happen it will happen by its self , I'm not sure she is wanting to get bac together and just covering up i want to talk again but dnt want to push her any ideas ??

My ex cheated on me after a year of being together. I left him and met a military guy out of state. We are currently dating long distance for about 4 months and all was moving forward until my ex came back, willing to commit and clearly has changed. He didnt know about the other guy until recently so I know it's not a competition thing. Military boy offers a trustworthy relatioship and a better sense of security for our future, however I know I still love my ex. I have to decide before chirstmas because I know FOR A FACT that both of them are going to ask me to marry. One hinted around and the other told me. Im completely lost and torn. They both have unique qualities that I am very much so in love with. I want to move forward with a relationship, just what one. A part of me feels like I havent been dating the Military guy to know if we could last but everything has been effortless. I have spent time with the ex and he's truly changed, but he knows I have trust issues with him.

I told one of my friend that, If thousand of people can see u in the roads , what is the problem with ur friend? whom u accept as friend!!! My logic is, I can't worship a Idol with out imiganation; how can I accept a true friend with out viewing or have an true sketch of her?

My husband left me eight months ago. He said that it was because he was unhappy and we weren't getting along. I found out later that he had met someone else. He didn't live with her but he saw her. They stopped seeing one another a month ago (How do I know this? Mutual friends VOLUNTEER information. This is how I also know that he called it off ( not that it makes a difference, anyway.) Always remember, adulterers: Your spouse doesn't even have to ask. It gets out.)

He now says that he was having a midlife crisis ( He turned 41 last month), that he is truly sorry, that he loves me and that he wants to get back together and be a family again. We have three young kids.

Am I being a fool to even consider it?

I was surprised by the whole thing. Up to then, he had been a good husband.

There's this guy named Dakota, we were bestfriends in the 4th grade and I liked him until 5th grade and now in 7th grade we are like enemies because he thinks I like everyone in the class and I don't. And my best (guy) friend, and Dakota's bestfriend, Mike, likes me a little more than a friend but Dakota has been making him keep his feelings (I'm pretty sure) because Dakota says that no one will ever like me more than a friend, he was wrong so he is trying to prove himself right again. I am pregnant by a married man. He lied and said that he was divorced. He told his wife and she has forgiven him. According to her, this is the fourth time in three years that he cheated. She has forgiven him each time. They have two children together. This is his tenth child! His income is about $60,000. Her income is about $80,000. I only make $30,000. Because he has so many children I'm doubtful if I will receive enough assistance to care for a child. Can her income be considered in the amount of child support I am awarded. I know that they do not have any accounts together because of his previous child support cases. Can someone please answer my questions???
