My gf and I have been together for almost 2 years now. We are both college educated but not equally driven. From my point of view this is shameful, but from her she has no shame in admitting that she has no goals, cares not to change lifestyle, and, at any cost avoids competition and stress. In my eyes, she is simply lazy with not much of a future in sight. I love her, but her lack of passion for life and her objectives are increasingly making me not like her. The love is still there though. It really arises the question of if love is conditional. To give more details I'll put it more simply:she doesn't clean a damn thing; she watches TV after work all night until bed; does not exercise or care about weight gain; could care less about world events-not a shred of compassion for starving kids across the globe or wheter or not Bush stays in office. Passes up opportunities for advancement at work because she wants to keep job simple. What to do?

I got pregnant and we married. Found out he cheated on me while we were dating twice or more. He hung out with them and told me they were his friends. Forgave him was all i can do. Moved to his place to live with his family. I have no privacy and can't decide anything. He wanted me to listen whatever his mother say and do whatever she wants. I asked him to move out he said he'll never move out because he wants to help his family. Now i'm staying with my mom and he wanted to bring us back( my 2 month old daughter and I). what can i do for the best of my daughter?
thank you

I'm a childfree woman who has several long-term friendships dating back from school days. A lot of my friends are parents. I'm finding it hard to stay friends with them due to different priorities, different life paths, different schedules. So for parents, how do you feel about your friends who don't have children after your child(ren) come along? Who have you kept up with and why? For childfree people, who have you kept up with and why, when your friends became parents? What are some dealbreakers and some deal-sealers in friendship, when two lives diverge?

Thanks for your insights. I'd appreciate answers that don't romanticize parenthood and are down to earth. Trust me, I'm not a parent and don't want to be. I just want to maintain my friendships now that we're on different life paths. Thanks for your help. Cheers, K

I am going to talk to her shortly. (Damn, it's like it's a chore to get any of her time! Part of the sit., I guess.) But any rate, anything I should add, be careful of? Thanks!

It's simple to me. My gf is the paradigm of a giving person, literally gives until it hurts, which was great for a while, but, obviously, she burns herself out routinely. So I can only speculate as to why she's like this, and I do have my theories, but how fair is it? If I take from her all she gives me, she'll burn herself out. If I reject it completely, she'll resent me for not accepting her. And if I take it sometimes, but not all the time, which has been my approach so far, she keeps me at arms length b/c I'm not interested in her enough. Are my only real options leave or keep putting up w/ it?

My parents went out of town so while they are gone I am taking care of my father's little lamb. I have him in the backyard fenced in so he can't go astray. I love going outside and hearing him go "baah" and I like to play some with him. He is so cute! Anyways, my grandpa is down for a week and he brought his german sheperd dog and I had to put him in the backyard too because I don't want a strange big dog around my baby. Well, I think his natural instincts are taking over because he is nipping at the lambs feet and trying to "herd" him. If he gets wounded my dad won't be happy because he won't be able to sacrifice him in the spring to God because he will have a blemish. (My dad does that once a year in the spring). Since he gets the lamb for sacrificing I know he won't have a use for him anymore and will hire a butcher to kill him :( I want the baby lamb around as long as possible. I can't bring baby lamb inside either because he will drop what i call poopy pellets. :(

My Mom's birthday is coming up and I don't know what I should do. I'm only 15 so I can't really do "to" much for her. I'm also a little starpped for cash, so unfortunately I can't do anything expensive for her :(
I love her very much and this year has been very hard on her so I wanted to do something extra nice for her but I am having trouble on what to do.
Any suggestions?

Thanks!

This happened to me. I liked this guy in Grade 12 & 13 and we would only catch each other checking each other out (it was akward). We are from different races (he was white, I am not). About 3 years later while I was in college and at a club one night, a friend and I ran into him with another person my friend knew. About an hour later, we were slow dancing....?? Who would have knew? It was something I will never forget because I haven't seen the guy since. Anything like this happen to you?

Please help me understand why girls get into relationships that are bad and complain and complain and complain about it, seeking advise from others, yet don't take it and stay with the guy? Are they looking for attention or is it a mental issue? Why stay in a relationship that doesn't make you happy? Odds are the guy won't change...

I need some help on getting my ex back. The last 4 months of our relationship were boring dull and mundane. I did not realise this was wrong until about a week before she broke up with me. She is so special to me and we had been together for 2 1/2 years and now she seems bitter towards me. I want to be the most important person in her life but I am not right now and I hate it. I just am not sure what to do for her to remember all that we did together and how special we were. She thinks that we never did anything the whole time we were together when we did stuff all the time and I want her to know that and I want her to feel the way she used to. I just don't know what to do any advice on how to remind her of what we had and how good it was. Please I need help becuase I am not well without her and I really need her.

I am currently in a relationship with this great guy that i really love. We have been dating for 9 months and its seem to be getting pretty serious. He has a son and is raising him by himself and I am a single mother aswell with 2 kids. With the holiday coming along we are both deciding what 2 do. He is planning on going out of town, but has not yet asked if we would like to join him for Thanksginving. I would really like for him to spend it with me and my family, but I am not sure how to break it down to him without causing a problem or is it right that we not spend it together and I not make a big deal out of it?
