I read an article about a lesbian couple in California who have been together for 20 years, each mother bore a child from the same sperm donor, and yet they are unable to be married. I'm just curious what other people really think about these issues.

Who out there is not going for the whole traditional, elegant wedding?
And who doesn't care about an expensive diamond ring?

It seems that every female out there wants a HUGE WEDDING.
They would start planning it even at 12 years old.

I was never one of those girls.
I could care less about my wedding.
All I want is a nice dress because I'm just not a dress girl. I just want one for my wedding.

I even hear people complaining about how much work it is to plan a wedding and how it has to be PERFECT or they'll just break down in tears. I mean, come on. It's only for a few hours. LOL.

Sometimes I just feel like having a Justice of the Peace wedding. But I atleast want my parents there. So a tiny a.s.s. wedding will do.

And about the ring... I don't care about jewelry either. I don't even trust myself with expensive crap. Because I'm pretty rough hehe.

From what people say, my boyfriend has it pretty good.

My husband is leaving to the retreat weekend for mens from our church .Pastor called me and ask to write 'Love note' of encouragement to my husband which will be given as a surprise to all husbands...My problem is that I am not good in words...I need you to help me ...I will give you a clue of us: we are married 4 years,we have 3 year old son, we live overseas...my housband is in military( he already spend 1 year in Iraq)and most important I love him with all my heart.

I've told my bf numerous times that I want to wait until marriage to have sex. However, when i asked him how he felt if he found the right person, would he do it before marriage and he didn't give me a straight answer. I was talking to a friend yesterday and she had told me that he had mentioned that he would want to have sex before marriage b/c he didn't want to go to college being "inexperienced". When I asked him about this he told me that he had said that but he didn't mean it. I find this hard to believe. It sems to me that he lies to me a lot. Not really about big things but just little things. But what bothers me most about this revelation is that he engaged in sexual acts with his previous gf. Lately, I've found that I've become annoyed with little things about him. He can become a bit paranoid about the government at times and talks about politics...a lot. Interesting at times,but at other times... any advice?

I have recently been reconnected with an ex-bf from 15 years ago. We were delighted to be in touch. I was then shocked to realize I never got over him from all those years ago, and we now are both married with children. I told him how I felt-I was willing to try an affair (I know its horrible, but I have not been myself the past few weeks) and he was not. We saw each other, discussed for closure purposes, and while I told him I don't think I can see him in person for a while we both agreed to stay in touch with email/phone. He specifically asked me to call him/write him. So, the question is, I emailed him on Monday basic, friendly, innocent email. Two days later I have not heard back from him. I assume he is trying to cool things off and is busy with work - my somewhat immature question is that I can always find time to email someone back within a few days. Can someone try and read minds and tell me what is going through his? Should I be worried that we can't even be friends?

i love my girl and we've been together for a long time i recently found out that she;s been taking some of my money that i've been saving. i've been steadily saving for over a year to buy a truck that i can go mud riding and hunting in. she loves four wheeling and hunting and knew what the $ was for. she's been taking like 20$ here and there and spending it on gas or beer or whatever(but it's added up to over 300$). given i've been drinking the beer to(but we still could've gon without beer during the week) and riding on the gas that she bought(to places that we really didn't have to go). so recently i calculated the amount of money that i should have and went to check on the $ and it's not all there. at first she wouldn't say were her money has been coming from(because i knw she's broke and she has a job she just pisses away her money) but then she finally fessed up to it. i'm really pissed and short the money to buy the truck i want how should i handle this

How should I go about telling my fiance that if he is not happy with my decision to stay at the school I am at, then we can't truly be happy together? He has been pressuring me into leaving the University I worked realy hard to get into, to go to our home town's community college. I am hurt that he can't understand why I don't want to go to the school, and he is not "willing to wait on me much longer." I really love the guy, but I can't deal with this kind of pressure.

ok. So i'm new to this high school, i'm a freshman, and yea. And there's this boy that i used to really like and i think that i still like him a little bit. but i dont even know. She is super jelous that I got engaged before her since she has been with her bf longer.... keep in mind he just got legally divorced.
Well, I just found out that she is DEMANDING a ring by christmas time or she is leaving. OK, she doesn't have any where to go or live, if she leaves him. She can't support herself and lives in his house pays a small fee to help with the morgage. Both our birthday are in Feb and we are both turning 30. She keeps asking me to fly to somewhere for a event. I told her I don't have vacation time or money since I am paying for the wedding myself.
She is getting really mad at me and freaken out that it's HER 30th birthday. Mind you, mine is two week after hers!
When I tell her to calm down or she being crazy, she gets mad and accuses me of not caring, because I got what I want.... (the ring). Which is untrue.
What do I do?
Just keep my mouth shut? I guess if someone is going to shoot themselves in the foot- can you stop them??

If me and girlfriend had had baby and he kept her last name and now 4yrs later we are getting married would you marry her if she wasn't willing to change his last name. (she is willing to change her's to schroeder but wants to keep his purdy) so we wld be schroeder and his last name wld be purdy. should I still agree to get married. and the main reason this should be done because god forbid she die then my son would go to his grandfather and I wld have to contest.
