I'am a single guy thinking of dating a divorced woman with a young child. She's nice, has a good personality, attractive, her kid is great and she's wanted to go out with me for some time now but I"m not sure if I want to get involved in that sort of situation AGAIN. Any thoughts?

WELL........IF YA' BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT..WHAT WAS THE PROB. LAST TIME??? IF YOUR SURE YOU JUST WANT TO DATE THIS GIRL AND NOT GET WAY INVOLVED, OR PLAY DAD TO HER CHILD, THEN DATE HER!! JUST BE CAREFUL, YOU DON'T WANT TO HURT HER CHILD, YOUR LADY FRIEND WILL RECOVER A LOT QUICKER THAN HER CHILD WILL!!

I think that when you begin to date her - just focus on getting to know her well & see if she is suitable for what you need in a mate. After several months, and once you are certain - perhaps to a point of being engaged, THEN bring in the little boy into the equation.

The reason why I say this is two-fold:
First, if you only shortly dated the mother, and things didn't work out, and you really bonded with him, your heart would be torn apart.
Second, if you only shortly date the mother, and things didn't work out, and the child really bonded with you, HIS heart would be torn apart.

No need to bring the building up of the relationship with the little boy at the beginning. You already know he is cute & likeable, so just put him on the backburner, so to speak. Make sure first that you are in love with the mom before making things more complicated. Once she says yes to engagement, then I would suggest that you make time with her son to really get to know him.

Yes I have things you may want to think about, If you really know this girl then maybe it would not be so bad even better if she or you could not have anymore kids. But as you said in your question you didn't want to get into that kind of situation again, well there that tells me then NO because not only you get hurt but the kids in this kind of situation do to. A BIG NO NO:

I think you should give it a try, perhaps this one is a keeper!
Like you said before, she has a good personality and attractive
and it sounds like you and her kid get along pretty well, I'd say
you should stick to her. Haven't you ever watch "About A Boy"
or "Stepmom" I recommend you do.

Everyone is different. Just because the one last time might be a little crazy doesn't mean this one will be too.

I wouldn't. I'm kind of against recycling the remains of someone else's broken family.
