I like this guy and he is only 8 years older than me, but when we write one another emails he has a tendacy to use the term "kid" when referring to me.
For example, I sent him a flirty email once and his reply was, " Damn,I think you're flirting with me, kid."

I've liked my best friend for months now and about half a year ago I told him that. He was flattered, but said he just wanted to stay friends. It was wierd for a while, but now we are best friends. Well about a month ago he started skipping things so he can be with me, and he buys things for me and I know he really likes me. He is shy to begin with, but do you think that maybe he thinks he lost his chance with me because he already turned me down? Will he never make a move unless I let him know somehow that it's ok?

My family has a tradition of a heritage ring, and I have asked for it. It is a beautiful ring, and has quite a bit of history, but it needs alot of refinishing. Any thoughts...should I use it, where can I get it refinished, etc.?

My aunt's b/f won't leave. She has asked him not to contact her again but he phones 10 times a day, thinks she's in a bad mood and will get over it and when she doesn't answer the phone he then phones her mother. She has no resorted to insulting him which isn't doing anything either! Please please help before someone gets physically hurt!!!!

Well there is this guy that I like and he is my friend - he is the cutest thing I have ever seen- I really love this guy! He is a twin - I am like best friends with his twin sister - she does not know that I like him. This guy has gone out with all the wrong girls the - "whores the bitches and the complete idiots" I want to talk to him about us. I want there to be more . and there could be - but I lost my chance he goes out with this girl -whose sister hates me for like no reason at all and the gf of the guy hates me too. from past stuff I love him but I wish I knew how to handle this... I'd like to know you guys opinions. I just wanted to know if this guy is flirting with me or just being polite? Sometimes I have trouble picking up on flirting signals.

I just walked into a local cafe and ordered a bagel a lox. A pretty cute Aussie guy was behind the counter and he made my sandwich. Initially, I told him that I like to sandwich to go, perhaps he forgot. He accidentally made my sandwich and put it on a plate to stay. I mentioned to him again, that I'd like the sandwich to go.

He apologized and fixed my order and apologized again when he bagged my sandwhich. The Aussie guy then smiled at me and said, "It is so much better when you are here." I told him that it is unfortunate that I can't stay because I have so much homework to do and he said "that sucks."

Maybe I'm reading between the lines too much. How would you make out this situation? I'm not sure if he was flirting or not or just being polite.

I have a 4 year old stepdaughter. 95% of the time she is good. My problem with her is that whenever she know's she does something wrong, she will lie about it. Lately it has been happening a lot. Lying is starting to become a problem with her and she is only 4. My wife and I try and disipline her. Whenever I know she is lying I get angry and yell at her and send her to her room to think about what she did. After I always sit her down and tell her why I am mad and what she did wrong and not to do it again. She always says she won't do it again, but she always ends up doing it again.
Does anybody have any suggestions??? I have also taken her toys away for a while, but that doesn't work either... And I refuse to spank or hit her!!!
Also where and when do children learn how to lie??

Please help!
