I have 2 stepkids (now both grown, married, and the youngest one has her own two kids, so I am a grandma of a 5 and 7 year old--and I am only 41). My fiance has 3 teen girls and we plan to be married next year, so I will be a stepmom to 3 more. So, 5 in all with two grands!! Aren't kids wonderful??

I have reared 6 children and love the adults they have become. 18 grandchildren so far, and counting!

Children are tons of hard work and you don't have a manual to guide you along. Lots of guesswork involved and no guarantees. The biggest single thing one can do to provide a stable life for a child is be absolutely consistent in dealing with them. No always means no-never maybe. If you set a limit, stick to it so the child knows you are reliable and will take care of him/her. (trust me-they will sense this even if they don't like the limit you set for them.)

I comprehend what you saying in spite of if, once you get a infant from beginning you get this attachment and there is not any way which you will not love that newborn such as you very own. My mom had 4 of her organic and organic toddlers and he or she observed 2 extra toddlers and that i felt that the observed toddlers have been given extra perfect treatment. not that i became jeolous my mom became so into those childen additionally she has a million female from beginning and the different female became 3 years previous. ok so i became somewhat jeolous in spite of if it in simple terms comes organic on the grounds which you as a newborn prefer to maintain getting good treatment. maybe it is you 5 year previous that is jeolous, it relies upon on the form you manage the recent newborn.
