You know what I am going through the same thing and when I catch my husband in the lie he tries to say he never said those things and his mother thinks (who I call for advice alot) its okay and I should give him a break for it but it kills me and I don't know what I should do either. usually I let the small things slide. I finally told him that if I catch him in a lie again I would leave because I can't handle it if he is lying about small stuff how do I know he ain't cheating and lying about that?? I would let him know how you feel and give him the altimadum. My husband has been good ever since I told him I would leave him if he lied again...

If he really lies about every single thing, then he has developed a way of being in the world that is useful and necessary for him; he is not likely to give it up as long as it works, so he is untrustworthy.

How can you trust someone who lies to you all the time. No of course you cannot trust him he will cover up a lie with another lie.

As you can tell women have only answered this question. I am a man, all men lie at some point. He is afraid you are going to get mad if he tells the truth. Guys only think about sex, sports, food, sleep and they will do what ever it takes to get any one of the above. It all depends what he lies about. If its about where he's been then you should raise a flag but if it is stupied stuff then just tell him to tell the truth. Truth hurts!!

Marriage is based on trust. He could be hiding big lies. If it is worth it to you to work in out I would see about getting some counseling for him or kick him to the curb. I can't tolerate lies.
