A guy asks you to get together and catch up, but you are unable to call him before you leave town for the weekend. You call him first thing when you get back and leave him a long message. You apologize profusely and seem really nervous leaving the message. You also say you really want to catch up with him! What would you mean by this message? Is it a hint? Do you want to date him?

I would say that she feels badly about seeming to ignoring you. She could want to date you, or she just might not want you to think she's being rude and doesn't want to ruin her shot at something good. Go out with her, catch up, and if she gives any flirtatious vibes, take it as a sign that she wants to move things forward.

I don't know. . . because my cousin just did this to someone even though she has no intention of catching up with the guy. She just doesn't want to be blunt enough to say that she's not into him in that way so she keeps postponing going out with him, but still calls him and says she wants to catch up ( I know, it makes absolutely NO sense) I told her its just wrong to lead the guy on and to just tell him the truth. I hope your situation is different and you and the girl do catch up soon!

i think that getting together and catching up is always a good thing, but that does not mean that you want to catch up so that you can date him.

Um, yeah she obviously wants more to do with you than just catching up. She's afraid she blew her chance by not getting back to you soon enough so she's over apologetic.

Yes it means that she wants to make up it to you and is interest in you if she was not she would not have bother to say sorry yet alone call you so go for it
