Very much so, if you want any relationship to work you must be able to communicate. You may not always agree but you should be able to speak openly and honestly. Without communication the relationship is doomed.

Good Question... I think what is lacking in most relationships in open communication. So ~ Yes if you want a successful relationship communication is key. However, it is also ok to have relationships where communication is not open. It all depends on how you want it to be. Just be adaptive to others needs as well and all will be fine. ~Best Wishes~

Yes. It would also be wise to see if all concerned are using the same dictionary definition of "open", too.
