so theres this guy that said he liked me, and then he asked out another girl. I've been totally bummed out for the past 2 days, and I dont know what to do. Everyone sais im "so much prettier" than the other girl, but thats not making me feel any better. I really like him still... I know i shouldnt be crying over someone, but hey, its how i feel.

My grandma and grandpa live on the other side of the country, I haven't visited them in 7 years due to being a poor college student.


I found out today that my grandma (78 years old) has leukemia and may not benefit from chemo.

My entire family in California (where I live) booked flights for Thanksgiving for an entire week since it may be my grandma's last Thanksgiving.

I went home and booked the same flights for me and my wife without asking my boss first.

I am going in tomorrow and telling my boss that I have the vacation time and I never ask for time off so I need to take 3 days off during Thanksgiving week. (I get two days off for the holiday that week).

I work in accounting and me and one other person handle the business accounts. The other person already requested Thanksgiving week off to go to the desert and I think my boss will tell me no.

What do I do?

I plan to go even if my boss says no, but I don't want to lose my job!

do this look in the mirror now tell me who do you see?

if you say yourself, then if opened up your mind or head would i find you in there somewhere.

for example if i were looking for your sould where would i find it, therefore if i could not find it then how is it possible to find what you call you. when this body we live in is just a shell we inhabit.

so tell me who is it that is using those soft oval shaped jelletan eyes.

remember the body is basically just a machine a bioligical machine, simple as that. where can i find the person inhabits that body

for instance we always say that is not who i am in inside.

really well then if you are inside then where is it that we can find you if were not really dealing with the real you.

They had an 8 year history. Years ago he had been charged with aggravated rape, but after she got out of the hospital, she refused to "cooperate". Case dismissed. She took him back.
Then he smashed a bottle over her head. Again she refused to assist prosecutors, and the charges of aggravated battery and attempted manslaughter were dismissed. Again, when she recovered, she took him back in.
Yesterday, he was arrested again, this time on an attempted manslaughter charge. It was one of the most heinous crimes a person can commit; this time, he took her to a cane field, doused her in gasoline, and set her on fire. She managed to roll and put it out. But he didn't stop, and doused her again and set her ablaze,again!
The charge could get raised to murder, this time. She is in critical conditionin a burn unit. She may not make it.
What makes a woman return to psychopaths, and place their lives in such jeopardy?

My g/f of 5 years tells me she's friends w/ this guy she met at college last week and im like ok whatever. I really want to go home for her surgery. I would love to fly. Mostly because I could spend more time with family rather than on the road traveling. I can only take about a week off of work. Her hospital stay is expected to be at least 5 days. My Aunt who lives near me says she would love to go for moral support. Naturally she wants to drive so that she'll have her car with her while there. It would be much cheaper to travel with her and share the cost of gas but it would steel time from my visit... I'm talking about 2 days getting there and 2 days back if I drive with her. What do you think I should do?

He's this prep-ish football player..he's really hott..and I mean, I've gone out with hott guys before..but they're always just so shallow and dumb and just want some ***. He's so different from any guy I've ever known. He's smart, he's got a great sense of humor, and he's not shallow. Plus he's really hott. He's like...perfect. He turns down every prep that asks him out (which are a lot.), and I'm not a prep or anything..it just seems like preps should date preps--he doesn't. But I don't know how I would even talk to him. He just seems like he's off-limits. Like if I even tried to talk to him the world would collapse in laughter. I just don't know what to do.
