It seems odd that you wouldn't have attained at least one emotionally intimate relationship after wanting and REALLY trying for so long. Maybe you just haven't met the right person or have some personal issues you haven't wanted to deal with. I felt the same way for many years and then spent a lot of time on my own just learning to be happy with myself. I realized that having untrustworthy, emotionally unavailable parents had a bigger effect on my relationships than I wanted to admit and that you can't really love anyone else until you love and respect yourself. I know it's corny but it's true. It helps you recognize who and what is best for you. Good luck! Everyone deserves to know what it feels like to love and be loved.

Are you TRYING? Love is funny like that and will hit you when you least expect it. I was like you at one point and decided that the amount of sex I had was more important then a relationship. Less than a week after writing my vow never to fall in love in my journal I met an old friend by random chance of spur of the moment change of plans. I made it my goal to sleep with him then brag about it to my room mates. The problem was that he refused to let me. We are both very stubborn and this dance lasted for a total of 3 days in which we were inseparable. He told me he loved me and I almost said it so many times but caught myself and stopped. We had sex on the third day. A week later my room mates bailed and I could not contact them. We were on a lease together and since I could not afford it I was homeless for a horrible hour. Long story short; We have a 2 year old son and have been married for one year. We would have wed sooner but I am a naughty and stubborn little girl.

You're what we call a free spirit, dont try too hard with love. It comes on its own time. It doesnt matter how many relationships you've had. you just havent met the person who is right for you.

Some people would say you suffer of fear of intimacy, that you have some disfunctional feelings, disfunctional family, or blame it on your mother, but Maybe you just haven't met the right person yet. Happens all the time.

Are you a dude between the ages of 16-26 and all you can think about is one thing?? That could be it. It's called "all-I-wanna-do-is-have-sex-and no relationship-syndrome."

Go over the rainbow and visit the Wizard of Oz. He'll give you a heart. He did it for the Tin Man.
