I did not grow up with the values that politics is important. I have recently made my own decision that it is somewhat important but in the scheme of my life, not on the top of my list. It seems that every time I am around my mother in law she always talks about the election and what he or she is or is not doing. I really could care less to talk about these things with her as our opinions vary greatly and I feel like she wants to argue with me (not something I want to do at the dinner table.) Is anyone else in this situation and how do I politely change the subject and let her know that I would prefer not to talk about these things so much because we disagree?

All my friends have children. I don't. last night, I was visiting them & the kids had to go to bed. I had an urge to tuck them in and pat their backs until they fell asleep. I felt so happy & they went right to sleep. Anytime they needed something, I would rush to their aid. It feels like I am a mother that has no children. Am I just weird?

Theres this guy that I like alot and I told him but at the same time I told him he asked this girl out! In the beginning, I screwed up. I lied about several things, including a dirty magazine that she found. I made a lot of shallow comments about women's bodies. I made comments about her body that weren't very nice.

It's been over two years, and things keep getting worse. Rather than forgive me, she says she feels ugly, she gets drunk and mean with me, she won't lift a finger to help this marriage and she is pushing me away from her. She doesn't want me to see her naked because she feels ugly around me.

I have made changes within myself, but she doesn't see it. We fight all the time.

By the way, this is my third wife and I was married to my second wife when I met her.

I have only known him for about 8 months and we fell for each other right away. He's a great man, and Godly. BUT, we argue about stupid things. We constantly take things personal. What should I do? He says "I ain't beat" (I know what that means.... therefore, I think it's pretty messed up. He isn't working right now, so I want him to help to cook for me and my toddler when I get home and this is now an issue. Some of you may remember the following question from a couple of days ago...

I met this great girl last night out at a club - we talked, held hands, made out for a while - really hit it off in general. Ok, so we were both drinking but she did give me her number (and yes, it's her real number - she dialed it on my phone to prove it rang hers).

My question is - should I call her or do you think this was just a "drink fling" for her and if you do think I should call, when is appropriate?

Well, here's the update:

So - I did call her yesterday - got vmail and left a simple message....

"Hi - this is Derek and I'm calling to say that I had a great time with you last night. Give me a call so we can get together again."

...and I haven't heard from her. I guess this really was just a "drink fling".
