Some of you may remember the following question from a couple of days ago...
I met this great girl last night out at a club - we talked, held hands, made out for a while - really hit it off in general. Ok, so we were both drinking but she did give me her number (and yes, it's her real number - she dialed it on my phone to prove it rang hers).
My question is - should I call her or do you think this was just a "drink fling" for her and if you do think I should call, when is appropriate?

Well, here's the update:
So - I did call her yesterday - got vmail and left a simple message....
"Hi - this is Derek and I'm calling to say that I had a great time with you last night. Give me a call so we can get together again."
...and I haven't heard from her. I guess this really was just a "drink fling".
Thoughts?

That was just for fun with her. She probably has a boyfriend. Sorry, girls can be soooo bad.

I know from experience that sometimes I forget about my phone. I lost my ex because I kept leaving it in my car or at my parents for a few days. He thought I wasnt being loyal or not wanting to talk to him. So he dumped me. I also forgot to check my messages. She could have been working and went home to bed. Most girls arent like guys and are jerks about dating. She will call. Even if it was a drink fling. I hope this helps.

Wow. Sorry Derek. I figured if she liked you enough to kiss, she would like to see you again. I am still glad you called and think you left an ideal message. If you didn't call her, then you wouldn't know where you stood and it would be hanging out there...so I respect you for going for it. Best of luck. Hope other women treat you better in the future!

you called her - good - that part over with - the voicemail message was nice & appropriate - she hasn't called back- so what?? you didn't really invest that much time in this did you? if she calls, she calls, if not - no big deal - there are plenty of fish in the ocean! you can't get too crazy over drunken making out at a club - it happens all the time! things always look different to people in the morning light.

If you haven't heard from her then move on. You left the message it is up to her now.
In the future.. while ALOT of girls will say they want to hear the next day.. wait a day or two before calling. In the long run.. next day calls always sound desperate.

Maybe she doesn't want to seem too interested and is holding off on calling. She could have been busy, give her the benefit of the doubt, if she doesn't call back in a couple of days give her one more call and leave it at that.

give it a few days hun maybe she has a life that needs attending to! maybe she still sleeping!
if you don't here nothing in a few days then call again!
leave one more nice message!
then if no returned call!
Call back one last time saying if you ever want another drinking fling call me up! or don't call me what ever you want!

She wants a MAN, not a boy... be a MAN and call her. Don't sound nervous or scared. Women want MEN who show confidence and are a willing to put themselves out there for her. If she doesn't call you back, who cares... move on, some girl will.

It's only been a day (if that)....give it some time. If she calls you back, cool. If not... let it go. Calling her too many times will seem like you're either a stalker or needy...neither are attractive qualities.

u should have banged her the first night and forgot about all this call me ill call you crap. and thats all it ever should be. u cant have a girl u met at a bar or club who was drunk and made out with on the first night as you gf. you never do that.

Try again a few times (i wouldn't leave messages-- girls you barely know will not call you back). Try to get her to pick up. If not, throw away her number.
