Get her all the padding and helmet first. Then, let her decide when she's ready to try riding without training wheels. When she's ready, take them off, and run along side her helping her stay up until she gets her balance. It doesn't take long!

push her down a slight downgrade and keep pace with her. Hold the bike temporarily and slowly ease off supporting her as she picks up a little speed. Over time and without pedaling she'll get the "feel" of the bike. Once she's mastered that have her practice pedaling and balancing.
Just don't do what my mother did-forget to explain how to work the brakes!

I just taught my son. I had him peddle while I held the back of the sit and I casually let go without him noticing. It took about 15 minutes for him to get it. Also make sure you are in a parking lot or some type of open space. Good luck!!!

My five year old was so scared to take off her training wheels, but the more we rode our bikes I could tell she wasn't using them. We took them off and after a couple runs down the street she just took off. I think the main thing is you cant rush them.

what I did was take off one training wheel at a time so he could gradually get used to having balance.
