I was a little worried the gf might be losing interest (dating for @ 4-5 mos), but she has been working like a mad woman lately (2 jobs, probably 60+ hrs/wk, which concerns me a little, too) She is very proud of being very independent so I keep telling myself to just relax and let her come to me. We hit it off great, seriously unbelievably, but neither of us have much exp in the dating dept, and I know the romance has to start to simmer a little at some point. Does this sound reasonable? Any advice on trying to get her back into it or is it something I am f ing up? We had a talk the other night and she really revealed some stuff. If I plainly ask if her feelings have changed, that pretty much seals the deal regardless, doesn't it?

My husband has a bad temper, in the last wo years he has thrown things acroos the room, punched the steering wheel in his car, thrown his wedding ringat me, hit in a bag of potato chips and dumped it all over my living room floor, raised his voice, cursed at me, told me to shut up (he's in the Marine Corp)...and he has said he only does this with me, not anyone else. He says he never acts like this with anyone else, I make him act like this...but the other day he was talking with the Wells Fargo people about the car payment got upset with the lady (because she would not let him talk) and he told her to shut up and hung up on her. This is the first time I had seen him do this to others besides myself.....he was blaming he for his behavior, but is the problem just him?

I'm looking for somewhere that my 11 yo son and myself could get some practical advice. I was told I should look into alanon, but I'm afraid of upsetting his already fragile equilibrium. Maybe that's just an excuse to keep pretending that life is still normal. I don't know.

Anyway, if you've been there and know something about it, let me know what you think.

i have a male friend who at first i thought was awsome, but as time passed i noticed that sometimes he would not bathe for a day or two or even wash his mouth in the mornings for days at a time, his bed sheets are always dirty, his excuse is he lives with no female partner and works very hard and is extremly tired so he gets home and sleeps, yuck this is turning me off

I talk to someone from out of state once in a while when I'm bored at work and sure she is attractive, but she wants to us to be in a 'relationship'. I explained how dumb the concept of it is and she doesn't understand. What is the point of going out with someone if you can't have sex with them or grab some titties after a hard day of work?

OMG!! I think the last run of men I have chatted with online have completely lied! They say they are honest and truthful. They say they are single then......they slip up. They either send me their MySpace link or I find it myself and it contradicts what they told me and what their Yahoo profile says!! I am sooooo tired of it. Honestly, I have no problem being friends with someone who is overweight, but I don't find obesity to be attractive. If you think looks don't matter in dating, you are lying to yourself. They aren't the most important thing, but they are important. I am in good physical shape, I go to the gym, I eat right. Seeing how I'm 6'0" and 170lbs, I am not going to fall for a girl who weighs more than me I find it disgusting. How is it shallow to turn down a girl for a relationship if you aren't physically attracted to them? Why not get on a treadmill and eat right before you get diabetes?
