If you are REALLY wanting to know why you and others act in this way, and you are willing to read a book or two, I would suggest these:

The Moral Animal: Why We Are, the Way We Are: The New Science of Evolutionary Psychology
by Robert Wright

Moral Minds: How Nature Designed Our Universal Sense of Right and Wrong
by Marc Hauser

Boredom! We get bored hanging out with old friends, this is why we make new ones. We get bored of favorite clothes that's why we buy new items. I am not saying it is OK, its a total lack of respect on the cheaters part. What makes it not happen is if the two people can learn to grow and change together. Making sure they are connecting in all life's little adventures. New and old ones. Stay interesting, keep inventing yourself. Imagine this, you love watching your favorite movie over and over again, but eventually the new blockbuster comes out, what do we all do, we buy the blockbuster on DVD and we put our favorite movie in the cupboard.

Because you wont allow yourself too be happy. Im sure that somwhere along the line there was alot of chaos in your home. Either between your parents or your relationship with your parents. Now that your dating you seek the same chaos, over and over again. Either that or your self esteem in low and you need to feel wanted by more than one person.

It's simple really. We are all imperfect and thus sin. Desiring anyone other than the one you're with is the same as commiting adultery said Jesus. Why? Bcos once the seed is planted and the desire exists...time and opportunity. If there's any chance to cheat after that, it will happen

Nobody would cheat their soulmate and if they cheat then the other person is not the soulmate.

you cheat because you dont love that person as much as you think you do, or you could be like billions of other people who just want a little someting different from time to time.

well it could be many reasons.......for starters i dont know your history or age, but some people cheat because of low self esteem some because they feel so unsecure sorta like ( i will do it to you before u do it to me) some because they feel they may not deserve this good person, being sexually unsatisfied, a nemfomaniac, or maybe just maybe it an't love at all.................

You would not cheat.Unless you had so little self control over yourself. In which case I would not subject myself to someone that I loved.
