Are my dad and my school too strict? I go to school in Texas.

My dad was very upset because he had to miss a few hours of work to visit my school to talk to the principal get my in-school suspension reduced from 3 days to 1 day, and to get the 1 day served taken off of my record. However, I had to agree to 10 days of detention, licks (embarrassing!) from the female vice principal (yes they allow it here, I know how lame) who hates me, writing an essay about why what I did was wrong and I am suspended from cheerleading for until my detention is served.

I am also grounded for 3 weeks (2 originally but I got an extra for talking back) and lost my allowance for a month, with extra chores while I am grounded. All I get to keep is computer and phone, so I guess it could be worse. The worst was he screamed at me. All he cares about is missing work. He does not care about me as much as his job and honestly I would have rather just served the whole in school suspension.

I'm a 22 yr old college girl and have never been on a date. I try to start conversations with guys, such as asking a question about classwork. They just answer it and move on. It's very frustrating and confusing. I've heard from many of my girlfriends that their friends (who are guys) find me attractive or "hot", and I'll randomly find that guys who I don't know exist ask about me. This was how high school was like also. I knew of guys who thought I was good looking, but only because other people told me. The only time a guy will talk to me is if I talk to him first. I am a very friendly person,sometimes quiet, but not shy. WHY DON'T THESE GUYS APPROACH ME! (I'd like guys opinions!)

i'm a guy in my late 20's . i met a lady at a party. we had alot of things and common , live near by and seemed to like get along nicely so we ended up exchanging email addresses at the end of the night. the other day i email her and say something like, 'hey, i want to want to catch a movie tomorrow, want to come?' and she says 'sure' . we both approached this very casually and not so much as a date (not that i wouldnt want to ask this girl out) . at this point, i don't know if this is a "date" and i should it approach it such (pay for the dinner and the movie etc) . obviously, i dont know wheather or not if SHE thinks of this as a date either. IS THIS A DATE and SHOULD I APPROACH IT AS SUCH? i'd like your oppinion..thanks.

My husband and I want him to adopt my son. His real father is fine with it so there is no conflict. I have called 10 different lawyers, gotten ahold of 5 of them, and the least expensive one for a straight adoption was $800. Are there any places that I could find legal service that goes based on income, or for less than $800? (I was thinking it would be about $400, so the price blew me away.) I live near Chattanooga, TN. I told a guy that I wasn't interested in going out with men right now because I needed sometime to figure out why my old relationship didn't work. I told him that he was very tall, dark and handsome which is usually the kind of guy that gets me in trouble. My husband would rather sit and play his game all day then to talk to me . We have not had sex for the past three months which seems to be seems like that is becoming a tradition because it was about three months the time before that too. That time if was not even that great. We never spend any time together. He spends time with our son and that is it. No time for me. He loves to work 3-11pm which means he doesn't see me at all because I work 7-3pm. When he comes home I ask him to wake me up and he just stays downstairs and plays his game until the wee hours of the morning. He always seems like he has an attitude with me whenever I talk to him. He never tells me he loves me or even touches me for that matter. He always makes the baby sleep in between us. When I ask him about that and everything else that is bothering me he tells me he doesn't see what I am talking about. Do you think he is cheating on me or is he just preoccupied with our son and his game?

My daughter had been playing with herolder brother and fell off her bed and hit her arm on a hard plastic toy. It left a really nasty bruise. The next day I went to the grocery store and a girl that works at a store across the street and asked me in a nasty voice how I could do that to her! I was so shocked b/c my daughter is far from abused (but she is like me and clumsy!) How would you have handled this? I did say thatI didn't do it and my son said she fell but I can't believe I even had to say that much! (By the way there wasn't even so much as a scraped knee or hair out of place otherwise on my little girl)

maybe i'm exagerating a bit but there are a lot of things about high school that are making me nervous. Mainly this girl who HATES me, she will go around and tell people stuff about me so that they will start to hate me as well. She's already made some of my best friends turn against me. There is also this girl at my school who is known for having a temper and for beating up a lot of girls, so even though she and I are on good terms the girl spreading stuff about me could change all that. I am dating this guy and he is older than me, of a different culture, and lives in a different city than I do. We don't have the same things in common but we like eachother, and we try really hard to understand the other, but when we butt heads I always try to end things. Ive been married for 12yrs and have a 4yr old daughter.
I married at 18. My best friend has been dating his girlfriend for about the same time I’ve been married. He has a 10yr old daughter. Unfortunately my friend refuses to marry and has been openly cheating on his girlfriend for years. Years ago he fell in love with his mistress and never stopped seeing her. His family and girlfriend have asked me to help him since depression has overcome his health due to the thought of abandoning his daughter/girlfriend or his mistress. Since the situation has grown out of control. I have begun to council him. He is very hard headed and will not listen to anyone. I have two choices, convince him to stay or leave? I would rather see him finally let go of his temptations and move on with life, marry his daughter’s mom and help raise their child but on the other hand his girlfriend deserves a better man, she is just to dependant on him and is not strong enough to raise her child alone.
