Propane or charcoal are two known sources of global warming.

Have you given up the outdoor grilling to save the planet?

Do you think everyone should be forced to find other methods of cooking?

What are your plans to grill greener?

can it contribute to smog?

also since propane, butane and isobutane, are related to methane. what is that doing for AGW?

What do you guys who are worried about the economy say about that?

I say the answer is phasing out old technogies (coal etc) - renewable energy and green options create jobs too!

What do you think they though life would be like when they didnt know anything about electricity. Well they figured that out and it improved life. Is global warming just another speed bump to be solved by a smart person or will it be harder than that?

Okay you think that I am crazy, but look it up.The US government will tell you that the way that HAARP works is by super heating the atmosphere. Now is it to crazy to think that a warming problem might be caused by a continually super heating the atmosphere?
Just a question.

The amount of hysteria being propagated by the zealots behind anthropogenic global warming has gotten to the point where this is more about Eco-Jihad, and Political dogma against anyone with a dissenting point of view, than a thorough and balanced discussion on the many factors that effect earth and its climate. i.e. urbanization, solar output, greenhouse gases etc. Even though you may feel exactly how Al Gore feels on the subject, I fell it is completely illogical to call the single most important element on this planet "pollution". I'm I right on this? Or am i just another right wing hate mongering corporate toady funded by Big Oil? lol, the latter would justify my initial point about what the advocates of this topic have turned this debate into.

Global warming is not caused by humans. Climatologist may not fully understand what causes the cycles of the earth’s weather patterns; however, they do know that the earth has a continuing cycle of rising and cooling temperatures. As a matter of fact, the public should be worried if the globe’s temperature was constant. However, people are frightened by change, and the problem in this case is that the change is not bad; it is natural. First, CO2 from humans is not a major factor in rising global temperatures.186 billion tons of CO2 enters earth’s atmosphere annually.90 billion tons is from biological activity in the oceans, and another 90 billion tons is emitted from volcanoes and decaying land plants. That leaves 6 billion tons to be collectively from humans mostly from the respritory procees of releasing CO2 as a waste product.

What's the difference between te two because i read about it in wikipedia and for some reason I keep getting confused with this stuff. EXPLAIN IT 2 ME

Then why aren't you doing anything to fix the problem?

Why aren't you developing new engines for cars, or new technology to replace coal burning generators?

Some claim that global warming kills over 150,000 people a year, then they choose to arrange other people's furniture! Do you think it's someone elses job to fix these things? Take action yourself!

So don't you think that it would be better to develop a device that pulls co2 out of car emissions, or whine about people driving SUV's?

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem, right?

And this with no reduction in CO2 release globally, maybe even an increase. What will the people of that time say? I'll be 79 years old, hopefully, and some people now will be dead. Even though the consensus of scientists say this would be unlikely, how would they explain the current hysteria in light of this hypothetical future?

I know many would say "you can see it now". But I disagree. I certainly don't see dramatic changes. Where I am, our winters seem shorter and warmer, but there have still been shorter and warmer winters in the area's history.

How long before we can see (with our own eyes) the impact of global warming right in front of us, in our daily lives?

I think its stupid that the teenagers these days are too lazy to get off their asses and take charge. I heard that by the time that they are 20 or 30, they could be dead because of global warming.
In the 70's (or whenever it was) the teenagers would camp out and protest with signs and take a stand because we all live here and if we dont do something soon, it'll be gone. The gas and major oil companies don't give a **** about the environment as long as they get their money; well if they dont change their attitude, there wont be anything to spend their money on.
EVEN IF GLOBAL WARMING ISNT HAPPENING, THERES NO EXCUSE TO MAKE HEALTHY ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGES.
(i know this isnt really a question, but i want your opinions.)

These guys don't get their science from Al Gore, they get it from the best scientists in the world. In many cases their position on global warming seem to be contrary to their financial interest. The reason it's not is that they know the threat of a global economic depression from global warming is real. That would be _really_ bad for business.

Sure, they're not scientists. But they're also not liberals or dumb. Or part of a "conspiracy".

"The science of global warming is clear. We know enough to act now. We must act now."

James Rogers, CEO of Charlotte-based Duke Energy.

So, if a corporate CEO makes the statement that global warming is real, does that give the argument more truth, or is Wal-Mart trying to sell more CFC's?

Never forget that global warming is very, very profitable.

John Edwards wants Americans to give up their SUV's, and plans to ask them to do so when he becomes president.

http://www.wlos.com/template/inews_wire/wires.regional.nc/22b7034c-www.wlos.com.shtml

What if they don't? Will he force them to give them up?

Will getting out of our SUV's in this country end global warming? If not, why do it?

Doesn't Edwards just give those wascally deniers another reason to claim global warming is a political, not scientific endeavor?

Why doesn't Edwards ever mention what he plans to give up?

We are hearing numbers of 150K dying every year because of global warming? How is that number reached? Since individual weather phenomena are not to be confused with climate, then how can the deaths these phenomena cause be attributed to global warming?

Are these only heat-related deaths, or does that include other extreme conditions?

Is this based on IPCC findings/models that do NOT show a correlation of daytime highs to AGW?

Is this net or gross? How many lives are spared by cooler or wetter weather?

Since the democrats are so against "global warming" why are they the ones that drive big suv's and have their private jets that take them everywhere, not saying everybody elsoe doesnt but, wouldnt they be the ones to not use those resources instead of wanting to dictate how everyone else lives their lives? Hmm reminds me of communism. Hypocrites or no?
