Global Warming

Imagine that I can, well tell me, what do I visualize first in order to bring down the temperature as its very hot here right now.
Imagining rain in a heatwave seems to create humidity and lightning.. tell me exactly how cool weather HAPPENS. I would be very intrigued to know.

Any statement involving volcanic eruptions that produce more pollution and/ or CO2 than human activity over any time period must be accompanied with a link?

so i have been a believer in global warming. now, that i have heard other sides of the story, im not so sure what to think.
of course us humans releasing so much CO2 into the air is a bad thing. cars arent a natural thing, they release things that arent meant to be in the air. power plants. i live around a lot of them. i hate them. they are so dangerous. more people around here get cancer than a lot of places, imagine what they are doing to the air. but, that may not be the only cause of global warming.
i recieved an answer to a question telling me ice caps, in some places, are melting. but other places, they are growing. you never hear about them, so how would i know that. im so glad that person educated me by telling me that.
my dad. he is very very smart. im not just saying that because he is my dad. he honestly is really smart. he tells me that he believes everything in life is a circle. he thinks this could be a natural thing, but it happened so so long ago, that we dont know how to explain it. he could be right. he has seen 'an inconvenient truth', by the way. he knows both sides of the story. he asked me how the sea level is rising just because the ice caps are melting? i challenged him so he put a ton of ice in a cup of water. i marked where the water stood on the clear cup. we waited for them to melt, the water didnt rise. nothing. hes hard to challenge, he always wins. so whats the answer to that?
i heard 99.9% of scientist believe in global warming, the response of one person to that was the scientist who dont believe it lose their job and are hushed. not allowed to speak what they know. i have heard that before.
i need FACTS.
if you believe the worls problems are caused by us humans, explain to me why.
if you believe its natural, tell me why.
if you think anything else, please educate me. i want to know. thank you.

i always here people at my school talk about how global warming is such an important issue and all that, but each day they drive their cars to school because if they took the bus or carpooled they might not look "cool enough". am i the only one that sees the irony in that?

it seems to me like everyone is just waiting on some higher power to take control and, in the meantime, living as though everything's ok. to those who believe in global warming: what have you and haven't you done to help stop global warming, and what sort of transportation do you take to and from your workplace? again, from what i've seen, everyone i know just says that we shouldn't do this and that...but then they go out and do the same thing.

Please help me further these designs!

Remember the tsunami? The (poor) survivors flooded by the monsoon, out of the tents supplied by rescue agencies?

Remember the earthquake - the (poor) survivors queueing in the snow for a tent, 2 years later?

Did those stories make you want to do something practical to help (other than donate money to charity)?

I believe there's a much better way to help victims of disasters. I've launched a campaign
(www.the-alternative.org.uk)

(see: Project it - the design specifications for a MODERN, Weather-proof Emergency shelter...)

- it's a simple remedy a child could have come up with...
That's a very interesting point...so:
WHY isn't it being done?

If weather predictions are correct, we'll be crying out for better emergency / rescue services...
Therefore shouldn't we get our thinking caps on right now?
This IS a serious situation we're facing!

Projec it is going to take good brains to achieve...

So please get involved!

If we are causing global warming due to our over usage of carbon gases, waistfullness, and ect...
Did the cavemen cause the ice age from making too many spears and open fires?
And did the dinosours cause an astroide to hit the earth and wipe everything out?

Or is "Global Warming" the earth adapting and repairing itself naturally like it has over and over again.

Down around Logan, Utah, there are huge cattle farms, and the methane pollution gets so bad driving has to be restricted. Saw the road signs on a visit there.

Methane from cattle is a Greenhouse Gas, but I never seem to hear about it, to speak of. Computer models all say CO2, CO2 CO2...never figure in what all the herds of cattle worldwide are doing not only producing CO2 as they breathe, but adding very large quantities of Methane, enough in some places to apparently cause visible smogs.

So, GW folks? Are so many cattle a problem, or not? What does the computer say? And what do scientists who deal with ALL the possible global warming gases say?

And has anybody added in all the methane lost in oil wells, and unburned in the vast flare-offs going on now?

Just curious, since it is supposedly a potent "greenhouse" gas, and yet I never hear of the computers figuring anything but about CO2. Wonder why?? Do I have a real beef?

I'm sure this'll ruffle a few feathers...

Say global warming is not man-made and this really is just a cycle that's naturally occuring (which I believe but don't send me hate-mail about that). What if 50 years from now we're back to square one and everything's fine. It'll kind of make those "doomsdayer's" sound like the Y2K folks did, right? Remember all the bags of grain we were supposed to buy?

Another scenario. What if global warming does take place to the point some scientists think it will. Aren't the effects of a lower population and increased ocean life going to make all the environmentalists happier. After all they're calling for us to stop having children and stop moving to the country and stop driving our cars and stop using up all their water etc.

I wonder why their parents didn't stop at "just one." Or maybe they did and they're just mad they didn't have a brother or sister............ HHHHHmmmmmmm.......... ;-P

Just reading today that the newest data fed to the newest model suddenly says "Global Warming: will be slower than expected". Second time the computer programs have had to be changed and more real data considered, and each time Global Warming takes a hit...deferred, they say, can't be wrong, just deferred...the COMPUTER SAYS SO!!

How long will this keep happening, GW converts?

Second issue is the natural Gas Flaring. I have been told on here it was all under control, no more flaring off, and now the satellite pictures show massive flaring, releasing "greenhouse" gases in great quantity. Natural gas flaring is not necessary, just seems to be an easy and cheap way of disposing of this resource.

So who is right? Satellite pictures, or what the countries claim, and what those who build "recovery plants" claim? I sense that one of them must not be telling the whole truth!

So, how do we take care of this massive waste of resources and source of vast amounts of "Greenhouse " gases?

seriously, get a life and stop trying to scare eveyone into recycling (something that i will never do), IF the world ends by global warming, then it will in a few hundreds years, long after we're all dead. so stop all the propaganda.

let's enjoy life and waste earth's resources while we can.
