An Ode to the Alarmists...


They tell me Global Warming ;
is gonna be alarming.

Their always going to tell you,
theres something you can do

That all the seas are rising
and there is no compromising.

I ask them how they know this,
and all they ever say.
Is that you need to trust us,
and quickly run away.

Their always quick to tell me,
that I surely am to blame;
The only proof they show me;
are computer games.

But you know I don't believe them;
because I know today.
There's a trillion atoms fusing
many million miles away.

The climate record tells us that,
though the sun is bright.
That we are at it's mercy
every very single night.

And when it wants to fool us;
as it always seems to do.
They will simply always scream;
That theres nothing we can do.....

to cities and to farming

But the greatest enemy
in this environmental calamity
is the United States economy
with Bush and his country

This oil addiction is the devil
and to make the climate level
should be sealed in a bottle
and buried with a shovel

I'm not sure if this is the kind of thing you wanted but:

Screens blurting messages at our heating brains,
The very machines that talk of our plight create it.
The result of our toils floating upwards,
and choking what we toil to keep.
Will our existance outlive our damage,
or can we save what we have endangered.
Will the ground boil beneath the tires of our machines,
as they belch poison into the greying sky.
Can we save ourselves or is it too late to stop the flowing disaster seeping our way.
