Dude,, considering all the people who are smoking up and how often they are smoking up, it's all having a profound effect!! Take for example the European countries that legalize weed in some form. That's millions of people RIGHT OFF THE BAT. And consider all the home-grown weed that's made right here in the US of A for the entire domestic demand. All of it is either smoked by the end-user or gets seized and burned anyways! Even if there were some crooked ATF agents out there stashing a quick ounce or so when nobody's looking, they're going to be rolling or packing it... which means weed burned anyways.

And we can't forget about all those demonstrations that are going on somewhere, my god,, it's like smoke-city in places like those! And imagine every concert and every Friday night party since the 60's. It's a miracle we're not into the iceage already! I tell you buddy,, just thinking about all that smoke is getting me into the mood of packing up a big bong as I'm typing right now.

fflit.... sluuuuururururururuurururururppppp....... POOOOOFFFT....

Whhhooooooaaaaaa dduuuuuuude.... I just realized,, if the earth is going through global warming, how in the HELL are we going to have an ICE age?? If anything, the plant-life on earth will thrive from all the extra carbon dioxide and we'll become a more tropical environment. More warmth will bring more plants, and they'll replenish the carbon dioxide into oxygen and we'll have a more stable, fresher planet!! YEAHH!!! I'm going to smoke another one and HOPE that we warm up!!

Almost none at all. A few months ago I worked out the figures for cigarette smoking, can't recall off hand what they were but the amounts were minute in comparison to everything else.

It's not the smoking of the cannabis or cigarettes that's the problem but the processes used in the production. The cigarette industry leads to deforestation, soil erosion and the utilisation of large amounts of resources for transportation, packaging, shipping, processing etc.

Many of these aspects don't occur within the cannabis 'industry' as plants are grown locally to where they're consumed and on a much smaller scale. The biggest contribution to global warming will come from generating the the power needed to provide the heat which the plants need in order to grow. If they're grown outdoors then this power use is removed.

If you want to smoke cannabis and lessen your impact on the environment then find an environmentally conscious supplier who sources his merchandise from eco friendly growers (as if such a thing exists in the cannabis industry).

Go for plants grown outdoors as opposed to indoors ones, that's where you'll make the biggest difference.

Cannabis will not hurt the environment. If more people smoke the cannabis, then they will plant more of the cannabis. The cannabis plant will eat up that c02 poison like a food. It will devour it like a hungry child. Everywhere we grow the cannabis plant. It will be good.

As its a clandestine habit, I'm sure we will never know the true figures to be able to cast them into a computer modeler.
However I have seen strange behavior in high flying Birds lately and can only wonder if there is a build up of THC molecules in the upper atmosphere. There could be a potential build up so severe that airplane pilots could no longer navigate in the higher elevations without getting the munchies.

If everyone smoked cannabis, they would spend most of there time sitting around admiring the ceiling, and probably generate much less CO2.

Burning one gallon of gasoline has about the same CO2 output as 128 ounces of cannabis.

In other words, the cannabis impact is essentially nothing, comparatively.

driving your car a couple hundred miles probably releases more greenhouse gas than a lifetime of smoking dope.
