I think its stupid that the teenagers these days are too lazy to get off their asses and take charge. I heard that by the time that they are 20 or 30, they could be dead because of global warming.
In the 70's (or whenever it was) the teenagers would camp out and protest with signs and take a stand because we all live here and if we dont do something soon, it'll be gone. The gas and major oil companies don't give a **** about the environment as long as they get their money; well if they dont change their attitude, there wont be anything to spend their money on.
EVEN IF GLOBAL WARMING ISNT HAPPENING, THERES NO EXCUSE TO MAKE HEALTHY ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGES.
(i know this isnt really a question, but i want your opinions.)

Yes! Global warming is a fact. We are unsure to what degree humans have created this particular phase of global warming. There is geologic evidence of other periods of global warming.
We are inclined to think we are the cause because humans are instinctively egocentric. We May be. We probably are not. It is happening way too fast for us to really be serious about it being our activity.
Regardless of that contentious argument, there is the reality of how to live. It makes sense to use as little as possible. Of everything. I started worrying about how much death was required to support my life. When I did the research, I found that vegetarianism and eating small animals, like chicken and fish, had a higher animal death count than eating big animals like beeves and swine.
The problem lies in how foods for the vegetarian market are produced. The problem lies in plowing and harvesting by machines. Even "organic" producers plow and harvest by machine. Plowing kills the animals that live in the ground and harvesting kills the animals that live in among the stalks. Thousands of animals are killed with each process. A simple way to see the death count of eating small animals is this: Killing one beef produces the same amount of food as killing 400 chickens. That is simple to see isn't it?
That is just food. We also wear wear cotton, linen, wool, silk and other natural fibers. Same thing. Thousands of animals are killed producing our clothes.
For me, the solution has been to buy and wear used clothes or to dress myself from the MANY free boxes I see in my travels.
For me the response to this issue is not what WE should do. We is some uncontrollable collective of people. My response is personal. It is what I am willing to do myself that will have some impact. As described above, I never buy new clothes or anything else I can get used. I eat large animals as a major constituent of my diet to reduce my contribution to plowing. I walk when I can rather than drive.
And I encourage others who wish to understand, to look at a bigger picture of how our world operates economically, and how the economics affects the total death count in support of their lives and daily activities.
Global warming is happening. Can you do anything to reverse it? Probably not. Can you reduce the death you cause. Absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe that the issue on global warming is everyone's concern. The problem is people tend to be passive because we are not directly affected by it.
For example: we hear katrina's effect, we know earthquakes are happening around the world, we know that there are changes in our atmosphere but we do not do something about it because for us it is nothing but natural phenomena. However, if we are caught in a middle of traffic, normally we swore.... get mad or curse people in the government. We react that way because we are directly affected.
The global warming issue can be viewed in many angles. For some it is a political stand of Al Gore, for some it is a waste of time & America would rather use its money to bomb another country, for some it is nothing but an imagination.
I guess anyway we look at it, it should be everyobody's concern. We can contribute in our own little ways. How? Dont throw your garbage on the streets or creek or canal. Segregate. Protect envinronment. Ask your local government official to be strict on ilegal logging. Join tree planting... and on campus - conduct seminar or awareness program.

Global warming is happening, the evidence is in.
How can we help? Use less plastic. Put a timer on hot water tanks so they don't run all night when no one is using it or use a tankless water heater. Share transportation or, if you able to, buy a hybred vehicle. Recycle in your community with weekly recycling. Bring paint to the dump. Donate your dead cars to someone. I pick up car batteries and bring them to a gas station. At one time they got paid for batteries but now they have to pay. There are a couple they still get paid for. Recycle your ink at office business stores. Recycle your rechargeable batteries and phones at electronic stores. Recycle your unwanted clothing at Salvation Army and they will pick up if you have furniture. There is so much that we can keep out of the trash.
I just donated today for the Boys and Girls Club and have stuff for an elderly couple who sell year around to make ends meet and stuff for an animal shelter including unfinished dog medicine.

Yes its a fact that its happening what the reason is isn't exactly clear yet so we really don't know what to do about it . We all have to eat so its kind of hard not to pollute i don't think anyone is just going to give us money to buy food do you . Just don't use what you don't have to use until we come out with a clean alternative energy . The only ones that really have a problem with that are the rich they keep flying all over and whiz down the road in there limos thinking there all that.

Yes, global warming is occuring. Please see Al Gore's "An Incovenient Truth". There is alot we can do in our daily lives to reduce our carbon footprint. One thing is to use a shopping bag when buying groceries or other things and not have to use a plastic bag each and every time you go to the supermarket.
We should be doing everything we possibly can to stop global warming. We need a radical change in the way we live.

Yea, standing around with signs really solves problems.
Want to end poverty? Stand outside with a sign.
Want to end world hunger? Stand outside with a sign.
Want to provide everyone with medical care? Yep, stand outside with a sign.......
Gvmt education has certainly gone downhill.
