global warming, aka climate change, is nothing but another attempt by the world elites to gain control of people and their lives. they will not rest until every single aspect of your daily existence meets their demands and they have total domination over everything and everyone. they must be stopped and the only way to do this is to find out the truth for yourself. do NOT take anything the environmentalists say at face value. do your own research. check the facts for yourself and you will see that this whole issue is nothing but a scam designed to force you to live without choice and in ways the elites would never dream of for themselves.

Probably the best start would have to do with global warming over the centuries. Here's some information that you will probably find helpful which is a copy/paste job from another one of my answers:

Global warming, is it man made or not? That is an argument that a lot of people make, and until recently it's been hard to differentiate the rate of climate change over the last 10,000 years or so to say that people hurt nature more or less than nature does.

Geologist Richard Alley studied the ice in Greenland, where the ice sheets are nearly 2 miles think and provide a good timeline for global temperatures and atmospheric make-up. He was able to determine that climate change has always happened (obviously it had to in order to move from a climate where Dinosaurs reigned to an ice age and into a climate that we now live). He also determined that that the rate of climate change has accelerated greatly since the discovery of fossil fuel as an energy source.
So you answer is, global warming is a natural cycle, but humans are getting much better at creating climate change than nature.

Nature changes climate, people change climates but it is pretty clear that what is happening now is mostly people driven.

Attached is a 20 minute talk from Richard Alley himself. He's a pretty credible source and you can look cool for finding it.

The site that Bob has given you is good.

I also recommend that you read the reports from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

The IPCC reports are available at any University library. Many College libraries have the IPCC reports also.

In my experience most Universities are very accomodating if you need to see some professional material in their library that is not available elsewhere.

I would open your report with a statement like this:

"Global Warming is a very serious issue that has been clouded in much fantasy. Here are the real facts without all of the fantasy."

Then give your report.

I recommend that you only rely on peer reviewed scientific literature for the factual content of your report.

You may want to cite some particularly erroneous reports that you have seen in the popular media as examples of some of the misinformation that we must deal with on this issue.

I would not cite a report in the popular media for its factual content however. The popular media is too unreliable with its factual content, particularly on this issue.

Global warming is one of the most serious challenges facing us today.

We are living in the midst of a great chemical experiment, and some serious consequences are becoming apparent to scientists. More than two billion pounds of chemicals are spewed into the air each year. These chemicals are brewing a disastrous stew, resulting in an atmosphere crisis. The greatest consequences of the atmosphere crisis may be global warming and the ozone depletion. If humankind wants to survive well into the next millennium, than we must stop this horrid destruction of our own environment.

To protect the health and economic well-being of current and future generations, we must reduce our emissions of heat-trapping gases by using the technology, know-how, and practical solutions already at our disposal.

Global warming is the predicted result of the greenhouse effect, created by so-called greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide and methane, in the atmosphere. The increase in these gases is thought to be caused by industrialization, especially by the use of fossil fuels such as coal and oil. These gases act much like the glass in a greenhouse...

This site will give you everything you need, words, pictures, graphs of actual scientific data, etc. It was written by a professional climatologist, and represents the views of the vast majority of the scientific community. Walkups sites are also good, but I think this one is better for a student. Some of the other recommendations here represent the views of a very few people who disagree with most scientists, and have pretty crazy theories.

This first link gives a good summary of the current situation (with many links) , along with a rather optimistic timeline for the future

http://www.livescience.com/environment/070419_earth_timeline.html

This one covers the more common myths and urban legends used in arguments against the scientific model

You'll find the skeptics always post blogs, or conspiracy and hoax sites to support their views (because there are no scientific sites that support them). Here's some examples

Global warming refers to the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans in recent decades and its projected continuation.

An increase in global temperatures is expected to cause other changes, including sea level rise, increased intensity of extreme weather events, and changes in the amount and pattern of precipitation. Other effects include changes in agricultural yields, glacier retreat, species extinctions and increases in the ranges of disease vectors.

I recommend:

New Little Ice Age
Instead of Global Warming?

by Dr. Theodor Landscheidt

It will absolutely drive them wild. Imagine the outer planets tugging on our sun and controlling it's output, what a revelation.

Climate change is a fraud. The planet climate is always changing, there is no such thing as a static climate.

No one can predict the future. Anyone who does so has no better chance of being right than if they flip a coin.

There an equal chance that in 5 years the Earth will be in a cold spell.
