We use corn for so much of our foods, now that they are using corn for fuel it is driving up the cost of everything else, there are so many other plants we could use.

Our planet has gone through many climate changes in the past. Both hotter and colder than it is right now. So what should Earth's Optimal Global Climate be? And are you sure we had been living during that optimal climate?

I have an Origo alcohol stove in my house that I run off of ethanol, or denatured alcohol (fossil fuel free cooking!). Unfortunately, denatured alcohol is $13/gallon, while E85 is ~$3/gallon. But I don't want to use E85 in my house stove, because burning the 15% gasoline makes for poor indoor air quality. So, I want to know if there is some way to separate the ethanol from the gasoline? Freezing, or evaporation? I have no idea! Alternately, is there another source for 100% ethanol, I'd buy in bulk, in a tank, if I could!

With all this talk of global warming, you'd think they'd be shrinking.

I think somebody sent me a link to this website, and perhaps I put in my email. Since then, I've received a steady stream of spam. I have clicked the link at the bottom "If you would prefer to not receive future marketing messages from us, click here to unsubscribe" and the spam keeps coming. It comes from a different domain every time - the true hallmark are pure, indisputable spam.

Has anybody else had this experience?
How do you feel about commercial spammers co-opting an important green issue for their personal profit?

Global warming is a misnomer - the ice caps melt due to the rise in sea temperature, in turn the ice water cools the sea and the gulf stream - bringing on an ice age.

From what I can read here on Yahoo Answers, I'm beginning to think that the sun does more to change the climate than man can.

Is anyone else starting to believe that sun is causing climate change?

Doubt we could do it all by wind - but combination of wind, solar, hydro, and bio-fuels? Couldn't we provide at least most of our energy without fossil fuels?

With Korea's recent sickening oil spill affecting an animal reserve, makes me think oil should not be allowed to be transported. It kills our oceans! Do we really need to use oil at all? Now that we have solar, wind and ocean power as well as natural gas, why are we still burning oil and coal?

it is true that the earth is getting warmer, but some people say that it is just a cycle. I have also heard that when most facorties where starting that the temperature acually went down. Some people also say that the ice caps in the north are shinking but the ones in the south are growing. im not sure if i believe that global warming is real.

tell me your opinion or state some facts or give me some sites to look at to make my decition.

thanks in advance

Ok, we all know Global Warming is killing us and our world, so shouldn't WE do something about it? While most adults refuse to believe it because they are to stuborn and can't admit that they do anything wrong we KIDS need to start doing something! If you're with me, tell me and we can start a national group "Kids Rising To Power"
